The Double Date

I got ready for the date and Jughead walked in on me. He was sad, and I don't blame him.

"You look nice." He whispered. I gave a weak smile.

"Can you help me with my necklace?" I asked. He nodded and hooked the necklace on me. He smiled when he noticed it was the locket he had given me. It was the locket he gave me at homecoming. He wrapped his arms around me and I put my hands on his arms. He kissed my shoulder and left the room. I went after him though. I turned him around and went into his room. I shut the door and I leaned against it while he laid on his bed.

"I don't even want to go on this date! Juggie, please don't be mad."

"I'm not mad...it's just weird. My girlfriend is going on a date with another guy." He sighed. I sat next to him on the bed.

"My heart already belongs to someone else. I'll make sure there is no 2nd date. I promise I'll be back around 10PM. Then we can stay up and watch horror movies or whatever you want. Ok?" I smiled. He nodded and I kissed him really quick. I then left the room and went downstairs. I saw Chic waiting at the front door.

"You took long enough." He moaned. I rolled my eyes and we left the house. We walked to Pops and found both siblings in a booth. We sat across them. Chic and Valerie got to talking immediately. Trev and I sat there.

"You want to go somewhere else?" He asked. I nodded and we left. We went to the plaza and got ice cream. He was talking to me and then all of a sudden, Jughead calls.

"Sorry Trev...hold on." I said. He sighed and looked bored. I picked up the phone.

"Betty...are you almost home?"

"No."

"But...It's 9:45. You said-"

"I know, Juggie. I promise 10:15. I'll make it up to you. You're so freaking cute."

"Ok. I have the movie 'Jaws' here for you. I have 2 Coca-Colas and a big bowl of popcorn." He said and I giggled.

"Jug, I have to go. I love you."

"I love you too." He said. I hung up and Trev's mouth was dangling. I was gonna have a hard time explaining that to him.

"Ok Trev...there's this guy...I'm secretly with him. It's all complicated."

"Don't worry! You and Jughead Jones...you guys deserve happiness." He smiled. I nodded and we fist-bumped. He walked me home and I went to Jughead's room. He had everything set up. I went to change my clothes really quick and then went back to Jughead's room. I shut his door and I laid next to him.

"How was it?" He asked.

"Pretty boring. I rather be with you." I smiled. He giggled and put his arms around me. I laid my head on his shoulder and my hand rested on his chest. We didn't end up watching the movie. We fell asleep instead.
