Rejected at first sight

Chapter 5

Beth POV

I wake up and I'm drenched in sweat, I look over to my alarm clock and it's 7:30

7:30! I've never slept this late! I rush to get some clothes on. I brush my teeth and put my hair up in a ponytail and race out of my room and downstairs into the kitchen to find 3 women cooking eggs with pieces of meat in them

"Dear. sit down what's the rush nobody else is up!" one of them points at me with a whisk

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to!" I cower back

"No, no, dear sit down in the living room watch some tv." she reassures me in not in danger and I trudge to the lounge and turn on the tv

Soon it's 10:00 and Jennifer walks down the stairs and sits next to me

"I'm taking you shopping today." she tells me then walks into the kitchen and I follow her

We sit down at the counter and a bowl is pushed our way with a spoon in it

Jennifer takes two big spoon fills and then passes the bowl to me but I push it away

"Your not eating?" she questions me

"Well you see in my old pack I only got enough food to survive. And it was mainly vegetables, so I'm a vegan." I tell her and she nearly chokes in her water

"Your a vegan! your a wolf your suppose to love meat. the rest of us do." by now everyone's staring at us and nodding their heads

"Well I've never eaten meat so I'm not sure I'll like it." I tell her and I see a plate if carrots and celery are in my possession somehow I don't even remember asking for them but I eat them anyway

"You've at least been to Starbucks right?" she asks me

"What's Starbucks?" I've never herd of this place but I hear like a crowd of gasps

"You've never been to Starbucks! what the hell is wrong with you!" she yells at me

"I've never left the house I wasn't even allowed to go to the garden." I tell her and finish my plate of veggies

"Oh honey we've got some work to do." she smiles at me
