Andrew

"He's so cute when he's sleeping."

"Garrett..."

"What?? It's a harmless compliment, he can't hear me anyways."

Except, I could. I'd woken up a couple of minutes ago, not wanting to open my eyes I'd kept them shut. My car sickness had never been this bad, I didn't want to risk throwing up again. Especially not in front of Garrett.

"I can't believe he got so sick?"

"I know, poor thing... I'd forgotten about his insane car sickness."

"That was sweet of you to look after him though."

"Well yeah, it's Andrew, I'd do anything for the kid." I try not to smile, I didn't want them to know I could hear them talking about me.

"He has you wrapped around his finger without even trying." I feel his hand brush over my forehead, moving strands of hair away.

"I know, it's so bad, but I don't mind."

"That's precious Garrett, but I'm scared that you're going to get hurt again. Can't you let this one go? I mean, I understand that you love him still but do you really think he'll want to try again with you? I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just trying to be realistic."

"He's worth it."

"Oh?"

"Shane, I've never felt this way about anyone before, Andrew is special, there's no way I can't keep trying." I smile. Fuck. I guess I'd have to 'wake up' now. I open my eyes slowly, pretending as if I'd just woken up, I fake a yawn.

"Well, good morning sleepy head. How are you feeling?" I lift my head from Garrett's shoulder where I guess it'd rested. I squeeze my eyes tight, the pounding sensation in my head still there.

"I've been better," I mumbled, rubbing at my temples in an attempt to get this headache to go away.

"Do you want any sprite? Shane, can we stop and get Andrew a Sprite? Maybe some crackers? I really think that would help." I shake my head, bad idea. I feel like I'm about to throw up, and by the look on Garrett's face, he can tell what's about to happen. "Wait, wait, wait, here," He hands me an old Walmart bag and I proceed to vomit into it.

Gross.

Garrett rubs my back as I proceed to get sick again. I was beginning to think that this wasn't just from the car ride, I'd never been this sick before.

"Okay, maybe I do need that Sprite."

"We'll stop as soon as I see something,"

"Thanks, Shane."

"Here," Garrett hands me a water bottle and I take it gratefully.

"Thank you, Garrett."

"Of course, Andrew." I take a sip and lean my head against the cool window, shivering slightly. "Are you cold? Do you need a jacket? You can have mine," Before I can even protest he's taking his jacket off, covering me with it. I shiver again, I hadn't realized how cold I was until just now. I close my eyes tight, just wanting to go back to sleep.

"Thanks, babe," I mutter.

Fuck. Maybe he wouldn't have heard me, I hold my breath.

"W-what?" He'd definitely heard me.

"Hmm?" I act as if I hadn't said anything, I hadn't meant to, it'd just slipped out. Force of habit I guess.

"You said, babe..."
