The young woman shifted her eyes from one map to another on the shelf. Her hand raised up but stopped before one of the maps. Her eyes squinted and then she proceeded to push one of the stacks of maps to the side to what she thought was the center.

Boredom, ate away at Y/N's mind.

A bell rang throughout the room. The woman sighed out of relief. Something she could do. She stood up from her crouched position and looked towards the door. In walked two guys and a girl. All around Y/N's age.

"Hello?" One of the guys called out. Heavily accented. They hadn't been able to see her yet.

She walked towards the counter. "Hi, welcome. How can I help you?" Their heads turned to her as she headed behind the counter. "Yes, we have a reservation," one said.

"Under what name?"

"Holland."

Y/N logged on to the old computer. She dragged the mouse against the pad. Typing each letter carefully. The name comes up on the screen. Her eyes skim through their information. "Two cabins, is it?" The woman questions.

"Yes, that's correct."

The young woman checked them in then turned around to grab the keys for each cabin. She turned back handing the objects to the one guy who had his arm around the girl. The three listened to her instructions on when food was available and where to go for fun. Then they slowly filtered their way out. The guy more on his own took a few additional seconds perusing the brochures of the cabins before joining the couple out the exit.

A day or so later, Y/N was out cleaning the cabins, making sure everything was in order. She was walking by the lake when she caught a glimpse of someone standing at the edge. The woman made her way through the trees. Only then was she able to identify the person as the young man who had been with the couple earlier. He was taking pictures with an expensive looking camera. And seemed to be intensely focused on that.

This was the young woman's first chance to really get a look of him. Extremely curly brown with a tint of red hair. A simple cargo shorts and a t-shirt. He was easy on the eyes.

A twig snapped underneath her shoe and the man looked quickly in her way.

Y/N became flustered. The rolls of toilet paper in her arms were suddenly ridiculous and the way she looked, hair up and drab clothing, was unsatisfying. "I'm sorry. I was just passing by and I saw you. I wanted to make sure everything was okay."

The young man nodded his head. "It's alright." His brown eyes gazed upon her.

"So, um, you like to take photos," she remarked, walking towards him. "Uh, Yeah. I do. It's my sort of thing."

"Oh."

There was a silence between the two as they stared out to the lake. "You know," Y/N began breaking the silence, "if you go up the mountain you can get a much better view of the landscape." The man glanced her way. "If you ever stop by the shop I could show you on the maps. If that is something you'd be interested in."

The young man thought it over before nodding his head.

At the shop the two stood at the counter with a map spread across the countertop. "Okay, so most people go up the mountain this way, the easy trail. It's more direct. But the more scenic route is this trail. It does take a longer time though. A day up and a day down. You'll have to go with camping gear and a guide so you don't get lost."

The man nodded in understanding. "That actually seems perfect. I think I could handle that. I don't think my brother and his girlfriend would be interested in this so a guide would be great company."
