The woman approached the chair slowly and silently. The man was blissfully unaware of the surprise that was to come. He was conversing amongst his fellow directors and cameramen. Having a little down time to talk about the film they were creating.
In a sudden motion the young woman wrapped her arms around the man from behind. Startled he turned around to be faced with the person he had been giving his loving to recently. He smiled and stuck out his neck in order to reach her. She leaned down. Connected her lips with his.
The older men sitting around glanced at each other, sharing the same sense of disapproval of the couple. They didn't deem it appropriate for the young man to have his lover on set. At best, distractions were never good.
After exchanging greetings, the woman sat down on the man's lap making herself comfortable.
Once the man pulled his attention away from the attractive female, he introduced her to the group. "Everyone this is Y/N. My... uh... girlfriend." Actually it wasn't clear what they were. They had only met a week earlier. And even in the time they've been together there wasn't a lot of talking involved. Casual hookups were more their style than actual dates.
The other men sent her slight nods but not showing that much acknowledgement of her. Not that she would have noticed.
"Harry, I'm so excited! My first time on a set!" Y/N exclaimed, feeling up his chest to his shoulder. "Yes, I'll show you everything in just a little bit. Maybe you can wait in the green room with the actors? They have all your favorite snacks. I know, I checked."
"Okay," she batted her eyelashes, "but don't take too long." Her tone enticing.
"I won't." She stood up and started to walk away. Harry gave her thigh a small swat before she got out of reach. Looking back at him, Y/N laughed while heading towards the green room, one of the places she knew the location of. That's where she had been told to wait for him but blatantly disregarded that instruction.
Harry had a smirk on his face as he stared at her retreating figure. "Isn't she something?" He says to the others, knowing they would understand exactly what he was thinking. "Yes, certainly something, Harry," the director said half-heartedly, "let's get back to talking to the film."
"Yes, of course."
The day didn't get any better after that. Harry was proving himself to be more and more unprofessional as the woman kept him unfocused. The director would be instructing him and he'd be staring at the young woman sending him a heated look. He'd be checking out a film location and she'd be hugging him from behind. Her lips attached to his neck and her hands getting dangerously close to the waist band of his jeans.
It was clear she was just begging for attention, and was very unapologetic about it.
The other crew members were getting sick of it. Especially the director. He had taken a chance on Harry, allowing him to go under his wing. He thought he was better than this.
The final straw came when they were looking at a scene they had shot and were arguing how it could be better. Tension was built. The agitation levels were through the roof.
"Maybe if you filmed it from the side and under a bluish lighting so you could see the boy walking more clearer," Y/N suggested.
It actually had been a pretty decent idea. Unfortunately for her the other people of the crew weren't there for it.
"Who said she could speak?"
"She's not even a part of the crew."
"Get rid of her. We're trying to get work done here."
The bombardment of comments surprised the woman. She immediately felt small and got quiet which was unlike her behavior of most of the day. "It was only a suggestion," she said softly.
"C'mon lads. She's just trying to help," Harry tried to defend her.
"You shouldn't have brought her here in the first place!" Someone shouted. Harry pulled Y/N to the side, sensing her change in attitude.
"I'm sorry Harry," she told him.
"It's fine, love. Let me handle it," he assured her.
"Harry, can I have a word with you?" The director asked him. He followed the director to a more secluded area. Already knowing that he was upset with him. "You've been completely unprofessional all day! Bringing a girl to work, you should know better than that."
"I know. I'm sorry. I just thought that if I brought her here... she'd, you know... be impressed and then maybe..." Harry let the sentence drag out not wanting to fully admit to what he'd been thinking. Now it seemed embarrassing to him.
"I didn't allow you to work with me just so you would have a way to get girls to fool around with you." The director was blunt. Harry felt like he really messed up this amazing opportunity.
The older man realized his meek demeanor. He placed a hand on the young man's shoulder. "Look, I had been your age once and if I had been in your position I would probably had done the same thing." Harry met the older man's eyes, listening to every word carefully. "Now we don't care for what you do off set in regards to that sort of stuff. It's your personal life. But when you're here you must be professional. So try to keep that kind of stuff at home. If you know what I mean."
The young man nodded his head. "I do, Sir. Thank you for allowing me to stay." He was very grateful that he didn't get fired. This was all very important to him.
"You stay, she doesn't. I hope I'm clear." The director raised an eyebrow.
"Crystal. I'll go ask her to leave right now." He left the older man there as he made his way back to the young woman. She had her arms crossed. "I know they don't like me here but they didn't have to be so mean about it."
He reached out for her arm. "Love, you need to leave."
"What? You don't want me here too?"
"It's not like that. It's just... this is my job. This is very important to me. I can't jeopardize for just some..." he immediately knew that came out wrong.
"'Some', what? You can say it Harry. 'Some' girl. 'Some' whore I'm sleeping with." Oh, she was angry.
"No, that's not what I meant. I like you a lot. I really do. You matter to me too, but this is my dream. You know?" Harry quickly attempted to correct his blunder.
Y/N's harsh glare softened. "I guess," she said more calmly this time. He stroked her cheek and wrapped an arm around her waist. "C'mon. I promise I'll make it worth your while." His voice was lace with a certain seductive tone.
She smiled slightly. "Oh, will you?" The young woman played along.
"Yes."
"Care to tell me how?" She asks.
Harry's grips lower, causing her to gasp. "Love, I'm going to destroy you later." His voice close to a growl. Her cheeks flushed. "I'm looking forward to it." She whispered in his ear before giving him a lingering kiss.
"I'll be waiting for you at the hotel, counting down the minutes."
"I won't be a minute late," he says as she starts walking away.
"You better not," she warned. Harry shook his head as she made her exit.
