You, a kind, pretty hobbitess, had lived next door to a branch of the Took family all your life and were good friends with their son, who was only a year older than you. Peregrin, you, and your other friend Meriadoc Brandybuck certainly were the master troublemakers of the Shire, seeing each day an opportunity for a prank, and today was unquestionably the same. You opened the front door of your hobbit hole and breathed in the fresh Spring air, turning to smile at Pippin sitting on the roof of his home next door, smoking his pipe as usual.
"Morning, Pip. What do you say we nab a few carrots from Farmer Maggot this fine day?"
