You gave a chuckle at the hobbit riding beside you, his hands taut on the reins, eyes nervous, and back stiff. He was clearly not used to riding a pony- as quite opposed to you, a farmhand in Bree all your life. Due to this lifestyle, you knew just how to calm a frantic horse, cheer up a sad pony, and the best ways to get an equine friend to give a whinny or pluck an apple from your hand. So now you leaned back in your saddle, signaling to the two dwarves behind you to keep a watch on Master Baggins. They both nodded obligingly and so you then turned your head back forward, letting out a high-pitched whistle. Myrtle, the pony the hobbit rode, threw her head back, excited by the whistle, and Bilbo flinched, leaning away from her tawny mane. The two dwarves watching, who's names you recalled as Fili and Kili, gave amused laughs as Bilbo looked at you with an exasperated expression, but you merely shrugged at him innocently.
