"Honestly Yuzu, you need to be more careful when walking home from now on" Mei explained, pressing a warm wet cloth on Yuzu's upper thigh.

The blonde winced and whined.

"Mei! It stings!"

The nouisette rolled her eyes. She wiped the area dry and began to wrap a bit of guaze around the scratches. Mei ran her fingertips down the bandage and felt Yuzu tense up.

"S-sorry" Mei stammered as she gathered the first aid kid, making her way off the bed. Yuzu watched her younger sister leave the room. She huffed, frowning to herself.

"Jeez Mei...don't just leave" she whispered, blushing to herself.

It was almost dinner time.

Ume was cooking tonight. A slow cooked pot roast with vegetables and cut up rye bread was for supper tonight.

And for some reason, Yuzu was starving.

She rushed into the kitchen like a bat out of hell. She made herself known by leaning against her mother's back.

"Mooom~" she called out.

Ume blinked and giggled.

"Yes, Yuzu?" She asked, tenderly as always.

The blonde pointed to a large section of the roast. Her pupils dilated. Her nose slightly twitching.

"Can you leave my part mostly raw?" She asked.

Eyes went wide from both Ume and Mei. The nouisette watched her older sister in the kitchen. She was sitting on the couch, paying close attention. Raw meat? Moving through the kitchen with no limping at all?

Yuzu, what's gotten into you?

They all gathered at the table. Putting portions on their plates. Meanwhile, Yuzu was staring at the pot roast in front of her. She grabbed her fork and knife and began to devour the large meat chunk on her plate. Mei watched in amazement as her older sister shoveled down her dinner.

Now Yuzu was a fast eater, yes; but this was a brand new meaning to the word fast.

"Yuzu! Slow down please?" Ume spoke, placing a hand on her older daughter's shoulder.

Growl.

A low growl came from Yuzu's throat which caused Ume to jump a bit. Mei blinked and placed her utensils down.

"Yuzu! Don't eat like an animal." Mei spoke, tone was strict and cold. Yuzu blinked and blushed. She scratched the back of her head. Blushing a dark shade of pink.

"S-sorry" she muttered.

The nouisette watched Yuzu and their mother clean the table free of left over food and dishes. Mei heard that growl. She didn't let that slip by her.

Why so territorial all of a sudden?

Lavender eyes could only eye up the bandaged guaze along her sister's upper thigh.

Mei shook her head.

"No. It was a dog that scratched her. Nothing else."  She thought.

Or was it?
