Third Person P.O.V

Stein continued to carry Maya all the way back to the DWMA. When they got back, Lord Death was waiting in the front of the school. Stein had a bit of worry on his face.

"You know as good as I do that we don't have a choice." Lord Death said to Stein as he presented a pair of handcuffs. Stein only stared at them. He didn't respond. Soul and Maka watched Stein as he allowed Lord Death put the handcuffs on Miss Maya.

"Lord Death!" Maka called out. The two turned around to face Maka. "Are the handcuffs really necessary?"

"Maka, honey...." said Spirit as he tried to reason with his daughter.

"No. Miss Maya never put up a fight against us." Maka looked at Stein, "Just like you said, you would've been dead if it weren't for Miss Maya. She was never our enemy. Why treat her as one now?"

"Maka," said Lord Death, "I believe that Maya wouldn't ever go against us. However, the rest of the staff and students don't all agree with you. It's just to keep everyone calm."

"He's right, Maka." said Stein reluctantly, "She won't be treated harshly, I can assure you." Maka did believe Steins words but she couldn't help but feel bad about the handcuffs around her wrists. She looked over at Soul for some sort of reassurance. He smile his classic smile showing his pointed teeth.

"She'll be okay. She'll be in the infirmary so we can visit her whenever we can. How does that sound?" said Soul. Maka's felt better knowing that she can visit Maya. After all, Maka was quite curious as well about what happened with her. Lord Death put the cuffs on Maya. He, then, let Stein into the school and take her to the infirmary. Stein looked all around him. Everyone was staring at Maya as if she were a monster. It was similar to when he first brought her. This time, everyone had hostility in their eyes. Some of the students had their weapons in their weapon form.

"I'm sorry, Maya. You don't deserve to be looked at that way." He whispered to her. Stein finally got her to the infirmary, where she was away from all the glares and stares. He laid her on the bed and attached ones of the cuffs to the bed frame. He sighed to himself "If you told me everything, then we wouldn't be here." he muttered to her as he brushed the hair off of her sleeping face. Stein felt a presence behind him. He defensively turned around to see Medusa standing behind him. He sighed in relief. "It's just you." he said coldly.

"I'm just here to check her vitals." Medusa said feigning innocence. Stein already had suspicions about Medusa. However, his suspicions were not based on any real evidence. They were simply hunches.

"I'll leave her to you then." said Stein as he reluctantly left Maya alone with Medusa.

Medusa P.O.V

I watched as Stein left me alone with this monster. I looked at her soul. "Agatha removed herself" I thought to myself. If she died, I'd see fragments of her soul on Maya's but there are none. It's a clean cut. She probably placed her soul into a small animal or a bird. Something that wouldn't draw attention. I could make her a vessel. But there need to be a form of compatibility. "Agnes was able to subside in Maya. I could use her blood. All I need is a pint." I thought to myself. Maya shouldn't wake up for a while. If she does, I'll just tell her that she needed a transfusion. I couldn't help but smile a bit. "Don't worry, sis." I muttered, "You'll get back to normal soon enough."
