Natasha was obviously protecting a client from people. I slipped off my seat and walked over unafraid. After all, I was still a god under Rose's guise. I was currently, as Rose, twenty two years of age. "Good evening." I greeted her.
She eyed me suspiciously and then gave me a curt nod, "Evening. Can I help you?"
"Well I just thought I should let you know, that you have lovely eyes." In an act of desperation I mouthed something to natasha quickly hoping she could read lips. 'your being followed on your guard.'
"Please get out of my way." She said moving her client slightly behind her and pulled out her gun pointing it towards the long haired man. Looks like she could read lips.
The way the male assassin moved made my knees tremble a bit. I blushed wondering who he could be.
The assassin shot Natasha as she stumbled dropping her gun, the patrons screamed and ran in every direction as the body of the person she was guarding fell to the ground. It seemed one of the bullets went through her and hit them, killing them instantly.
I gulped a bit and edged away behind something to watch. I was lucky one of his bullets hadn't gotten me. Natasha despite her wound tried to chase the man but they had left with the crowd much like a ghost. Sirens began to wail in the distance. She quickly fled the area.
I followed her immediately. I wasn't going to just leave her knowing she was injured. I knew she could take care of herself but maybe knowing Natasha will help with a lot more than I could forsee at the moment.
She sat down breathing heavily in an alleyway a couple miles away from the fight. She bit into some wood to stop from crying out, taking a sharp piece of metal using it to pull out the bullets by dissecting the wound.
"Woah Woah Woah!" I yelp as I saw her and kneel touching her side. I was running out of magic juice so I could only heal to the point she had a nasty scar. "....I am sorry I can't do more..."
"How could you have-?" She asked her eyes wide at my talent. "Just who or what are you??"
I flinched and sighed, "No thank you to the person who just helped you? No. Okay. My name is Rose. And if I trust you later on I might tell you more. You should understand this being who you are." I hold out my hand, "Come on let's go. Before that man comes back. He will be after the both of us now."
She reluctantly took my hand standing up. "Very well, but we should hurry there is a safe house nearby that we can hide at." She said trying to pull me towards it.
I gripped her hand and then picked her up easily carrying her bridal style, "...You aren't walking towards the safe house she had mentioned. I used my abilities again to locate it which made my knees weak and I began to get exhausted. I needed to go back to Asgaurd but I couldn't until I found someone for Rose. I wasn't going to stop until then. I laid her down on a bed and too exhausted to keep standing fell into the bed with her. Pain shot up my arm and that was the first time I realized I HAD been shot when the man had been shooting. 'How did I not notice...?' I thought weakly.
"Adrenaline." Natasha replied to my thoughts. I gave her a strange look but she ignored it. "When it pumps through you its like pain doesn't exist." She slowly sat up "Come here. I will dress the wound. It doesn't take an expert to notice your out of strength."
I weakly sat up and winced, "......." My vision blurred and pain thronged hot and hard in my arm, emanating from the bullet wound. She began to operate and in a matter of moments she had removed the bullet starting to sterilize and wrap the wound.
