We had escaped into the nearby forest. My face went red as I realized our hands were still together. I awkwardly slip my hand from his and gave him a shy grin, "So..."
"So..." He agreed as he crossed his arms.
"...Yeah..." I shifted uncomfortably and looked around to find a direction to go in. "This way." I grabbed his wrist and began to tug him in a westerly direction.
Five minutes later the Winter Soldier was trudging alongside me easily. "Do you even know where you are going?" He asked me.
"...About that... No. I have absolutely no clue. All I know is I am walking away from HYDRA so..." I admitted.
He chuckled slightly, "How about I lead the way."
I felt uneasy at his suggestion. I didn't know why I decided to bring him but I am blaming it on Rose because why not. I frowned a little, "...And... Why should I trust you...?"
He shrugged, "Because I am your only option." He said.
He had a point. I mean I was ninety-nine percent sure that I would die on my own especially in my weakened state so I sighed and reluctantly nodded. "...Fine... Just promise to not lead me off a cliff or something."
He produced a charming amused smile that made my whole body shiver and my whole face down to my neck and ears turn crimson, "I promise, Rosie."
At the nickname, he gave me I looked away hastily utterly embarrassed at my situation. His accent wasn't helping either. "G...good." I stammered awkwardly. He gently took my hand and lead me off towards more north.
