A Leap From The Past

HARRY'S POV

I was starting my fifth year of Hogwarts. Cedric's death scared the hell out of me. I was simply hanging out with Hermione at the Grimmauld place talking and trying to be normal. Suddenly Ron came to us excitedly and said

"Look what I have found! "

"What is it, Ron? "Hermione asked him
Ron opened his palms to reveal a time turner

"Where did you get that?!! "I asked him

"Professor Moody accidentally left it on the table and I borrowed it "

" You mean you stole it, "Hermione said while folding her arms

" What's the harm in that. It's not as if I'm gonna use it "

" Give it to me Ron, I'll return it to moody " Hermione said and held out her hand

" Hermione it's the very first time I'm seeing a time turner. "

"Guys, please, " I said

But she completely ignored me. Suddenly someone came and opened the door

" Are you guys OK? "Ginny asked while she joined us

"Ron give it to me " Hermione

"No!! "Ron shouted

"What is that?? "Ginny asked

" Ron give me the time turner !! "

"Hermione calm down "

" Is that a time turner? Can I see it ?"

" Ginny go out. Hermione, I'll return it myself !!"

"Ron that thing is dangerous, a little spin and we'll travel in time!! Don't mess with it!! "

"For goodness sake mione I'm fifteen!! "

"Ron show me the Time turner "

"Guys stop fighting!! "

"Ron! "

"Hermione! "

"I want to see the time turner too!! "

" Guys!! "

And then all I remembered was a light that blinded us and the screams of my friends.

LILY'S POV

I was sitting in the Gryffindor common room reading my fifth-year charms book. Just a few weeks ago I was made the prefect of the Gryffindor house along with Remus. Marlene was sitting next to me and doing her nails. Suddenly the door opened and the silly marauders entered while panting. Sirius and James were grinning at each other and Remus was shaking his head in disappointment and I knew they were up to no good.

"That was a terrible idea, Sirius, Remus said with disappointment

" Relax moony, we'll return it later, Sirius said casually

" Lily, you might wanna check what they are up to" Marlene whispered in my ear.

" I sense trouble, chaos, and stupidity from these two "

Sirius and James were high fiving each other and I decided to check what they were up to

"You both seem too happy, what's the occasion? "I asked casually

" We nicked it right under Minnie's nose wanna see it, Evans? " James said excitedly

"What did you steal? "I asked hiding my worry

Sirius took out something from his robes and the thing I saw made me even more worried

" A time turner?!!" I almost shouted

" You stole a freaking time turner from professor McGonagall !! Are you both mental?? "

"No, I'm Sirius and he's James, we don't know anyone named mental "

I simply stared at them with disbelief.

" Remus you could've stopped them ", I said while controlling my anger

" As if they'd listen to me ", he said with guilt

" Sirius give me the time turner and I'll return it to the professor"

" No "

" James? "

" Only if you agree to go on a date with me,  Evans "

" Never in your wildest dreams potter, now as your perfect you'll have to return it to me right now. "

" I gave you a chance Evans, now my answer is no "

" Remus? "

" Don't look at me, I tried to take it from them but they made me swore on chocolate "

"Fine then, accio time turner," I said while pointing my wand towards Sirius

The time turner flew out of Sirius's hands but before I could catch it James caught it.

And I was pretty sure he spun it because the next moment all I remember was a white light blinding us and Marlene's screams from behind.
