The 16 degree celcius cold of your air conditioner rushed into your thick skin, you pulled the comforter wrapping your whole body and tilted to the other side to hold your one and only boyfriend but he's gone. A warmth spread across his pillow showed a sign that he's just left the bed. You smiled to yourself, clued down that he might be cooking something for you since today was your birthday.
Made your way down, you heard nothing but silent. Just silent. He's already gone for work, you took the note stuck on the refrigerator.
"Sorry I have some work to do, will be home before dinner. Love you babe! - Suho"
All the little smile on your lips turned into the ugliest frown you would ever made. He left the note but without wishing you a happy birthday. Your day becomes so dull and everything that you do just seems not right.
Arrived to the college, you received wishes and gifts from your friends but it doesn't feel the same unless if it was from your boyfriend Suho, not that you wasn't thankful. You love him, he loves of you and of course you want your special day to be well spent with him. A fake smile plastered on your face throughout your day. You went home and ran to your shoes rack, took the pink skating shoe that Suho bought a month ago, you put on your sweater and made your way to the ice rink near your house.
No one is around, perfect timing. When you were depressed or sad, you skate. Yes you skate, even though you were suck at it. You have determined to master the skill of skating on your birthday. You geared up with the skating shoe, you reassured yourself that you will do great this time. You put your first step on that chilled ice floor and realized how wrong you were. The floor was hell lot slippery than you had imagined. The fun begins. You were holding on to the fencing and trying to stand upright and the moment you let your hand off the fence, you closed your eyes knowing that you will have your own falling spree. You were surprised that you found yourself not on the ground but in the arm of someone that you love.
"Suho oppa, what are you doing here? I thou-"
He crashed his lips, while grinning in the kiss. Wrapping his other, unoccupied hand around your waist and pulling you closer. "I'm sorry" he murmured something. You broke the kiss, furrowed in curious. "Sorry that I made your birthday worse, I planned to surprise you tonight but you were already here." He slowly kissed the tip of your hand. "Its okay," you said,
He pulled you up and you were holding on tightly to his grip. "I'm afraid that I'm gonna fall again." You exclaimed. He cupped your face, assuring you that it is simple and you'll nail it. You got your sense on how to balance yourself, he let you go and you did fall several times onto him.
Your fall again, body leaned closer to him, eyes to eyes, nose to nose. He chuckled knowing that you still won't be able to skate. He lingered his arm across your body and says, "you know what babe, I think you shouldn't have to master skating...." You jerked your head in confusion. "Why?" You asked while holding on tight to his body and laid your head on his chest. "So I will be able to hold you whenever that you fall. Happy birthday my love." He leaned forward and pressed his lips. It was the first kiss of you on the ice floor on your birthday, with him, and boy it was a good one.
