Chapter 12

Monday Morning

Today is the day Mason should break up with Lexi. Is it bad that I'm slightly happy I won't have to see that bozo again...hopefully. Rolling out of bed getting ready for school is a mission when you're still half asleep. I huff and open my door going into the hallway and downstairs into the kitchen. Seeing Mason and Ethan eating on the island I say good morning which I get two nods in return. I grab a granola bar from the cabinet and turn to look at the boys.

"I don't wanna go to school" I groan and sit next to them on a stool.

"Em it's only Monday, seriously?" Ethan says making Mason chuckle and me glare at him. Mason gets off the stool putting his bowl in the sink and grabbing his bag slinging it over his shoulder.

"Alright losers I'll be in the car" grabbing his keys and going to the front door. I glance at my brother raising my eyebrows, he shrugs and repeats everything Mason did leaving me in the kitchen. I swallow the bar throwing away the wrapper and running to the living room grabbing my bag. I get outside and lock the door going into Mason's car hopping into the back.

"Took you long enough" Masons starts the car up and pulls out of the driveway. I text Gaby and Liv in the group chat we use as Mason drives talking to ethan.

From Gaby: I'm in the library right now had to return some book.

From Liv: yeah I came with her since she felt lonely lmao.

To Liv and Gaby: Mason decided to drive his car so we're on our way.

From Gaby: Isn't he such a babe ;)

To Liv and Gaby: Oh shut up. I'll be there soon x

I put my phone in my pocket and lean against the car door looking out the window. I was so into my thoughts that I didn't realize we had parked already. I grab my bag and we all get out, I speed walk towards the school to my locker leaving the guys.

Grabbing my stuff from the locker and going to my class seeing Liv and Gaby sitting in our usual seats. I plop down in my seat and grab my pen playing with it.

"so how was the ride your awfully quiet right now." Gaby pokes my arm as I shrug.

"It was fine just anticipating something that may happen during the day." I'm not going to say it's about Mason and Lexi breaking up cause I don't even know if it may happen. I sigh as the bell rings and the teacher starts the lesson.

I walk down the hallway to many things going through my head as I look up, Mason and Lexi talking by the lockers. I stop walking wondering if I should leave or stay. What's going to happen will they break up or stay together. God so help me before I have a panic attack.
