Voltron S8 RANT (Spoilers)

Okay so imma title this

Voltron Season 8: how it sucked and how we had to swallow

First of all where the hecc was Lance's character development? Like sure, we got to see him meeting his family again but like, jesus

We know about Allura and Coran especially after we see how Zarkon and Honerva went cray cray, Hunk and his fam, Pidge and her fam, Shiro, Adam and Keith's backstory (in which, rip adam but I'll get to that later) yet theRE'S NO LIKE, BACKSTORY FOR LANCE-

Lance is best boi

I feel like Lance was sorta used- like a remote- in which we see moments where we theorize and believe he would become this and that but they never happen. Yes, we feel happy for him when he sees his fam again and we are scared to death when he seems to accept death whilst trying to save Veronica but like, holy shiet.

Allura and Lance definitely got the worst ending. Like, omf, Allura is a queen and why the fu-

As much as I ship Klance or Shklance or Shance or whatever Allurance is so adorable and omg I felt as if Allura would give Lance sone character development but nOOooOOo they killed her off and im actually like crying because like, wHY-

I felt as though her death had a strong effect on Lance seeing as though hes practically a former shelf of himself

Second of all, ADAM-

okay so like, if you've seen the s8 finale then youve seen le gei kisseu in which I was happy for shiro cuz he finally was happy after years and years of torment

but like its just the logic here lmao

Its so funny

"les replace adam with a dude with like, less screentime than him and we hardly know just for closure ish good kush"

I love that lol

Okay thirdly-

I legit cried over Lance and Allura like omfg they deserved better

Dreamworks did the dirty and used lance as like, a filler and we never got any sort of taster as to Lance's life before he became a paladin but we were just given the insight that he was terribly homesick

Unlike everyone elses situation where we see why hunk and pidge are so desperate to get his and her fam back (i cried on those  episodes) and allura and corans life back on altea and how their roles had an effect on the galactic war and why they sought revenge and like, we also get backstory on how shiro and keith are bffs and how he was excluded from the garrison and how he was desperate to get shiro outta there in first season

like, it was as if they used lance as a kind of end result for everything. lance was the filler for keith, he was the filler for red, he was the filler between shiro and keith after shiros disappearance, and brought together pidge and hunk and it felt as if he was there just to make things as they are. if I were to be honest right here and now, in which I am being honest right now, it feels as though that without lance everything wouldve been the same and it was like dreamworks only put lance in as a character to set a mood (in the finale where it creates a sense of sadness and emptiness and in the beginning where it creates the mood that the garrison is a horrible place)

they did le dirty and also killed off allura, which I already said made me cry my tits off

like, allura waited so long to see the end of war but she never got to cuz she made the ultimate sacrifice and finished it herself but she never truly got the ending she deserved. Like sure she was honoured and missed but it felt as though her death only created more distress within the community of vld because we never got to see her and lance's relationship grow we only got to see it until a certain extent
