I sat on the park bench and stared up at the sky. I was interrupted when a guy sat next to me.
"Hey." He said so simply. His voice was sexy. I admired him for a second.
"Hi." I said awkwardly. He chuckled at my expression.
"I'm new around here." He said. I nodded.
"I'm Samira." I blurted. He shook my hand.
"I'm Derek." He replied. "You go to school around here?" He asked. I shook my head.
"I'm a drop out. Gotta take care of my brothers." I replied. He nodded.

"Wow that must be tough." He said. We were now walking down the side walk. We were talking for quite a while now. I just told him my situation and everything that has happened in the last 2 weeks.
"So, where you live." I asked.
"Right up in Lively Flats." He replied.
"Yo me too." I said.
"Yo Sam Who this?" Ski said coming up behind us.
"This is Derek. We just met." I replied. He nodded.
"I'm Ski." He said dapping him up.
"Yo take this picture for me right quick." He said handing me his phone. I nodded.
