Alice:

"We're have you been?"

Oh great, here we go. I lock my apartment door before turning around. "Busy." I simply respond, making my dad narrow his eyes at me.

"You we're busy for two days straight?" He questions in disbelief. I sigh and start walking toward the elevator.

"Okay so I was at a guy's place." I reply, as he matches my pace down the hall. He stops in his tracks, placing a hand on my shoulder to keep me from walking.

"Don't start this again Alice. Don't start this whole being with a new guy every other day thing again." He tells me. I frown, before I would just scoff and tell him that I wasn't doing anything wrong, and that it wasn't my fault that I never felt anything for any of my 'boyfriends'. But this time around I'd rather not have an argument with my dad.

"Well seeing as how I actually stayed till the morning, twice, then I'd say that maybe this guy is different." I remark, giving him a small smile. He returns it before pulling me into a hug. I hug back, not knowing when I'll be able to tell him who I'm 'seeing'.

"I'd love to just stay and hug my dad while we talk about me previous promiscuity--but I'm sure you stopped by for a reason." I announce, giving him the hint to let go.

"You're right. There's been another dead body found, and I wanted to ask if you wanted to go along with me." He explains. I nod my head, shoving my hands my pockets, before walking into the elevator. We wait in silence till we get out of the apartment building. The people in this place are quite ignorant, but that doesn't mean they're might not be a couple of those alphas lurking around and listening.

"I've been looking at the police records from these past couple of weeks, and I think what you said about it bring it's the three fold death is correct." He informs me, his blue eyes moving to meet my own. I remember when I was younger I use to always wondered if my real dad had the same eyes as me. But after awhile as a hunter, I just stopped thinking about my real parents all together.

"Which means someone is getting into a big fight, a fight big enough where they need as much power as possible." I think out loud, heading into the passenger side of his SUV.

"Exactly. And when someone wants this much power for a fight usually revenge is involved. And we both know that revenge only ever leads to innocent lives being lost." He states, a serious look on his face. We drive in comfortable silence for awhile, not having anything else to talk about.

"So are Allison and I going to meet this mystery guy anytime soon?" He speaks up, parking the car a few blocks away from the crime scene. I purse my lips, trying not to show my uneasiness over the subject. I mean, I haven't even come to terms with it, so who knows if they would.

Who am I kidding, I know they both wouldn't especially not with how recent my mom's death still is. "I don't know." I reply, not wanting to mull over the topic too long. "I guess I'm just taking it slow so that I won't mess this up either."

"You know I'm proud of the effort you're putting right?" He asks, making me recall what Derek said the other night. What my family thinks, or atleast what's left of it, really does matter alot to me. I'm just glad that this time around it's something positive. I smile in gratitude before exiting out of the car.

We walk up to the crime scene, but stay in the back not wanting anyone spotting us here. My senses immediately go into overdrive, causing me to look towards the front of the group. I narrow my eyes as they set sight on the two alphas standing next to one another. I glance up towards my dad to tell him that we're not alone, but he's already glaring at there backs.
