"..there is no greater agony, than bearing an untold story inside you.."

My eyes tracked along the paper soaking up the words I had just read. As always my face in a book.. what greater shield from reality then something that can take you to another world?

"Liv, would you put the book down for just a second..please?" My English teacher, Mr.Way asked nicely. I smiled weakly and closed my book.. but not before slipping in my bookmark.

I'm always reading. I just am. Mr.Way never minds though, because I always get my work done on time and proficiently.

"Okay class.." Mr.Way began speaking over the rowdy teens in the back. I slightly turned in my seat glancing back seeing the group of 'greasers.' I've never talked to them.. well I never really talk to anyone besides my brothers and my best friend Lee.

All wearing leather jackets, with slicked back hair, and a look in their eyes that I've never been able to read. Considering I love to read that bothers me that I don't understand them.

"You are going to be doing a project.. on anything of your choice. School appropriate." He said the last part directed to the group in the back. "You will need to get out of your own heads. Discover a new world, and find a new perspective, and write about it. This will be your final exam grade.. so get on it." He said going back to his creaky chair behind his desk.

I noticed her. More then a greaser should notice a soc. I noticed how everyday she came to school wearing a different colored bow in her long hair.. and how her classic black vans never went out of style.. but only when it came to her.

I noticed how when we would have a substitute she would be nervous during roll call, because she doesn't want attention. But the one thing I always notice first..

That girl is always reading a damn book.

I dreadfully walked down the overly crowded and loud hallway trying to get to my next class. In this class I share it with my older brother Nick who just so happened to be held back a year.. and my little brother Max who is a genius and got bumped up a year. So I have an idiot and a genius.. but both way over protective.

I made my way in the math class sitting in my usual spot getting out my book wanting to finish it. I got out my highlighter just in case I wanted to make a note or highlight a quote that I liked.

In walked everyone else including my brothers, pushing and shoving one another along with their friends. My brothers are your normal jocks who think their all that.. I don't like the way they act but I can't exactly take a vacuum to their ego's

__________

I made my way out of school heading to my brothers car, blindly walking while reading. I looked up every now and then so I didn't bump into anyone or anything. I looked up again seeing the greasers.

Those are two things the greasers have. They may not have money. The best clothes or the best brains.. but they have the hair and the cars.

Most people say they stole their cars.. either way, their cars are awesome. I kept walking until I reached Nicks car. He was talking to some girl who was twirling her hair around her finger while leaned against the car under him.

I got in the back feeling happy that I can now read without having to look up every two seconds.

Soon Nick and Max got in the car and we headed home. We have a fairly nice house. It's two stories and is in the nice neighborhood. I don't really care as long as it has good lighting for reading and keeps me dry from the rain and snow.

I headed inside quickly wanting to get another book after I finished this one. I honestly didn't like the ending one bit.

They fell in love, and lived happily ever after.. when the hell does that ever happen?

I walked up to my room putting this book on the shelf that held the books I've already read. I skimmed over all the spines of the books that I own.. which is a lot trying to pick one that I want. It's like trying to pick a puppy out of a littler.

I smiled at my favorite book. The one I've read over and over. I grabbed it out jumping on my bed getting cozy opening the first page.

The Outsiders

I must have fallen asleep reading because I woke up with my book in my face. I looked outside seeing the sun still up, thank goodness. I didn't miss it.

I slipped on a hoodie, my vans, and kept on my jeans and grabbed my book heading to the West Side. The keeper of the most beautiful sunsets ever.

(A/N: okay I don't know where the hell the sun sets so don't yell at me for not knowing shit. I'm stupid.. sorry. In this book let's just say the sun sets on the west side..K? Okay.)

I slipped through the front door of our empty house. Max is most likely at Mikey's house.. his best friend. As for Nick, I don't want to even think about what he's doing, because it's probably disgusting and involves a girl he doesn't even know the name of.

I continued walking until I heard the distant sirens of police cars, yelling, and bell of the old gas station on the west side. I come here often. Almost twice a week. I love to watch the sunsets.

It's funny to me that we are so quick to judge the west side and yet that's where the product of the most beautiful sunset in the world is made every night.

No matter what. Social or greaser. We all watch the same sunset.. and wish upon the same stars.

___________

I slipped back home unnoticed by my brothers. If they found out I went to the west side they would skin me like a deer.

I sighed flopping back on my bed wondering. What's so bad about the greasers? Oh I know.. nothing. Absolutely nothing at all.

I hope you enjoyed the first chapter of my new ED book. Don't worry the twins will come up soon:)
