Real Life

"Jace you said you were going to be home for a week! It's been two days and you're going back to work." Savannah says to her boyfriend who suddenly had to go to work.

"I'm sorry Savannah I was supposed to have a week off but they need me. I'm sorry baby." Jace says and rubs his hands up and down his arms.

"You're missing a lot with Harper."

"What do you mean?"

"She grows everyday. So much changes everyday. You're missing all that."

"Baby. I'm sorry. I'll be home around 5. We can all go out to dinner or something. Okay?"

"Okay."

Jace leans down and presses a kiss onto Savannah's lips. It feels like the same kiss when Jace told her he had to go film a movie when Harper was 2 months old. Now she's almost 4 months old.

Savannah walks into the living room where Harper is, after Jace leaves. She picks up Her daughter and holds her close.

"I love you baby. So does your daddy. I promise."
