(7) You Jump To Conclusions

A few days later Sydney was discharged but Sebastian wasn't about to let her go home alone. He drove her back to their brownstone where he was still living and he helped her up the stairs. He got the door unlocked and when she walked in she saw that he had been sleeping on the couch. "Seb, why are you sleeping on the couch?' she said 

"I um.. I can't sleep upstairs." he said 

"Why?' she said as he helped her lay down on the couch. 

"Because Syd I miss my wife and it's hard sleeping in the bed that I once shared with her." he said 

She looked away and he said "baby look at me just tell me what I did that upset you that made you change your mind about having babies. I promise I won't get upset or yell I just want to know what I did that hurt you." 

"I um I think I made a mistake." she said 

"Baby just tell me." he said 

"I changed my mind cause I thought you were cheating Seb." she said as she looked at him.

He sat beside her on the floor in front of the couch "Baby why would you think I was cheating on you. I"m crazy about you I"ve been crazy about you since the day we met." he said 

"I found a number in your pants pocket it was in the jeans that you wore to the strip club with the guys." she said 

He looked at her confused and said "Baby what are you talking about? If you found it in my jeans pocket while doing laundry then baby that means that I never called it I didn't even know about an number being shoved in my pants. The girls were giving me a lap dance for my birthday I told you that." 

She bit her lip and wiped a tear. "Baby you jump to conclusions before asking questions a lot and sometimes it almost gets us killed if it happens on the job but baby that should of been a no brainer if it was in my pants pocket." he said 

"I'm sorry." she said 

"Baby doll now I know why you said what you said the other day. And why suddenly you didn't want kids right after that night. I love you Sydney Jo I never wanted to lose you." he said 

"Seb I still love you I just I feel so stupid now." she said 

"No baby no. I'm the idiot Elizabeth tried to tell me that something was off when you left that there had to be something else that caused you to leave I didn't want to believe her cause I wanted to believe that you were going to come back till I got the papers." he said 

" I enjoyed the last few days with you minus me getting shot. Pretending to be happy with you again dancing to our wedding song was great." she said 

"Baby I wasn't pretending I may have had to use our undercover names but that was all me trying to win you back. Minus the whole part where we had to fuck each other in front of our suspects that part I would like to forget." he said 

"Why? That was some of our best work baby." she said as she cupped his cheek. 

He chuckled and said "Yeah I don't like guys eye fucking my girl." 

She laughed and he said "Baby you ok?'

"Yeah. I just you love me right? You love all me even my fake boobs." she said 

"Baby doll I love your boobs even if they are fake cause you know that my favorite asset on you is that perfect ass of yours." he said he leaned in and kissed her. 

"Come home baby.." he said 

She swallowed hard and he said "baby I love you I need you home." 

She kissed him again and said "Okay."
