You flop onto your bed, sighing in content. Who knew forming Voltron could take so much energy? You desperately want to sleep, but you know that the castle's alarms will blare in about ten minutes. And last time someone rudely awakened you, you were not having any of it.
Your bracelet started beeping, signaling that Erika was calling you. You huff before pressing the button to answer her call. Her face pops up on a holographic screen. "Yikes, what happened to you?" She teases you. You playfully glare at her. "Not funny. Forming Voltron is a pain." "Well, why don't you take a nap? You take one over here all the time!" "HEY!"
Erika laughs, and you yawn. "I would if I could, but I think the Allura-and-Coran alarm will go off any minute." You grumble sleepily. "I mean, it's not like you can sleep through that." She replies. "The last time you woke me up abruptly, I almost threw you off a bridge." "But you didn't." She quips, grinning widely. You sigh. "You're lucky." You mumble. "What was that?"
"Why'd you call?" You quickly answer, getting a small glare from Erika. "I timed it. I thought this was the beginning of episode 2, and it is." She brags, smiling proudly. "I also wanted to test something that's built into your bracelet." She says, making you slightly perk up in curiosity.
"It should help with your, uh... problem." She says, trying to hold back her laughter as you repeatedly doze off and perk up again. "Anything to stop myself from dying." You mumble. She smiles kind of deviously. "Great! This should help." She exclaims. She looks down and presses something. Suddenly, a shock is sent through your wrist, and all throughout your body. It feels like you're being low-key electrocuted.
Okay, maybe a bit over dramatic, but it still hurt.
You let out a small yelp and quickly take off the bracelet and throw it to the floor. You pant from the sudden movement you made, and hear Erika laugh her butt off. "Not funny!" You say, picking up the bracelet. "Oh co-come on! Tha-that was hil-hilar-hilarious!" She says, her laughter making her stutter. You roll your eyes. "You're mean." You say. "Yeah, But are you still tired?" She asks you, calming down from her fit of laughter. You thought about it, and realize you weren't. "No! I'm not! Thanks Erika!... I guess." You exclaim thankful and at the same time not for your friend's gadget. "Anytime." She smiles. You think of something and hold back an evil grin.
"Hey Erika?" "Yes?" "I find you gadget quite shocking!" You exclaim, holding back your laughter. She glares, then facepalms. "Goodbye, (Y/n)." "Bye bye!" You say as she hangs up. You then proceed to let all your laughter out.
You sigh with a smile as you release the last of your laughter. Then the castle alarm goes off, making you sprint out of the room and into the armory. You quickly change before running out again.
This might be the most exercise I've ever gotten in my life.
"Everybody up! Zarkon's attacking! The Castle's about to be destroyed! Go, go, go! We need Voltron now!" Allura lies through the intercoms. You race through the many corridors of the needlessly large castleship as fast as you could and burst through the doors when you find it. Surprisingly, you're the first one there.
"You've got to sell it a little bit more." Coran says to Allura, unaware of your presence. Coran grabs the microphone from Allura and begins to yell. "Oh, no! Allura is dead! Aaaah! it's horrible! Her head fell off! Wait! What? Her severed head is trying to speak to me! What is it, Allura's head? What are your final words?" Coran says, making you smile a bit.
"Coran..." Allura trails off, seeing the others arrive. "Oh, yes, Princess, I'm listening." "The Princess looks well to me." Shiro says, making Coran jump in surprise. "—Oh! Time!" He regains his composure and clicks his gadget. "I guess this isn't an actual attack." Shiro states. "And it's a good thing it wasn't because it took you... Coran?"
