Sleep

3 a.m.

here he is again, not closing his eyes and kept on staring on the ceiling like there was something interesting

but that was not the case,, he can't fall asleep no matter how tired he was, no matter how he needed the sleep to restore his energy

fireworks

it was keeping him from sleep, the fireworks would be always distracting no matter how, he couldn't close his eyes even if he wanted too and as if it was listening to him, another blast of firework was heard making him break from his blank stare

and as instinct respond, he curled his body like the caterpillar in the puppa state, clutching on the blankets as tightly as he could, his palms make their way to his ear and covering it, pressing his palms on his ear hoping it will decreased the noise outside

it was already 3.20 a.m. and here jungkook was still in that state, he couldn't sleep and tears started to form and slowly flowing down his cheeks, he was suffocating, he couldn't sleep and it was killing him as he was so exhausted and worn out but just because of some damn fireworks, now he couldn't sleep

quiet sobs were heard inside his rooms and the clutch on the blankets got tighter as seconds passed by. finally, he decided that he couldn't take it anymore, he needed something to help him or someone.

blankets wrapped around his body as he make his way to the door then make his way to the opposite room. he debate for awhile whether he should stay in his room or open the door and disturb the person inside, still he chose the latter.

he slowly turned the door knob and peak in before he went in, there he is, peacefully sleeping on the bed. the moonlight that shines into his bedroom making him look ethereal, unreal

boom, another firework was heard making the poor boy broke into sobs, driplets and driplets of tears streaming down his cheeks

"t-ta-taehyungie hyung" jungkook brokenly call him but not to luck, that said boy didn't woke up, he was deep in slumber but who could blame him, he was tired aswell, exhausted to be precise

"tae-tae hyung" the boy calls for him louder this time "h-hyu-hyung ple-please wake up-p" he continue

this time it might be a success since taehyung started to stir in his sleep and finally he open his eyes, noticing the boy was standing at his door while tears were streaming down his cheeks

he took a look at the clock, it was already 3.27 and it make taehyung wonders, what is jungkook doing in his room at 3.27 in the morning? "what's wrong guk?"

eventhough jungkook didn't answer, taehyung knew what had happened when another blast of fireworks was heard, that make the boy broke to a sobbing mess

he couldn't sleep because of the fireworks again taehyung thought, it wasn't the first time taehyung dealt with this kind of situation

"come here koo" as those words left taehyung's mouth, jungkook launched himself towards his hyung. once he was in taehyung's embraced, he let out all his sobs that he was holding, clutching the boy's shirt hard

"shh shh, everything's gonna be alright" taehyung softly said while tracing small circles at jungkook's back. he keep on repeating 'it's okay' and 'hyung is here' like a mantra

true to those words, jungkook almost calmed down despite the hiccups that still present "you're okay now guk?" but to no avail jungkook would answer

"come here, let's sleep angel" taehyung said as he pulled the said boy lying down with him so that they could get comfortable before sleeping and jungkook just let taehyung do as he wants

taehyung put jungkook facing the wall side so that he could have jeongguk in a safer side, like he always thought of. once they were comfortable, jungkook immediately buried his head on taehyung's chest, those broad shoulders that always seems nice to lean, cried and buried

and as intinct taehyung drapped his amrs loosely around the younger waist but still holding him close to him, not wanting to let the younger go,, not like the younger wanted anyway

taehyung was the first to wake up only to be met bey the sight of jungkook curled to his body,

and finally jungkook when woke up, opening his eyes just to meet with a pair of eyes staring at him intensely, and slowly it broke to soft stare paired with a small smile

"hey you're awake. did you slept well?" taehyung asked and jungkook nodded with a thank you

"come on, we should go down, i'm kinda hungry and i'm sure you are too" taehyung said kissing the younger's forehead before going to the bathroom to clean himself

jungkook sleepily follows his hyung to the bathroom to freshen himself up before going down and looking like a mess, especially with all the crying happened last night

after finishing, he went downstairs only to be greeted by the sight of his hyungs in the living room, he wasn't even suprised that he and taehyung was the last one to come down or wake up

all of the members greeted him 'good morning' chorusly

"good morning kook, there's some breakfast for you and tae in the kitchen"

"thank you jin hyung" jungkook went to the kitchen waiting for taehyung while making both of them some morning tea

"hey" a soft velvety voice ripped him off his thoughts and soon a handsome face came to his view "come on let's eat kook" and softly jungkook nod, them eating in silent

"why didn't you come earlier to my room yesterday?" taehyung had questioned him when they were finished with breakfast and sitting on taehyung's bed

"i-i don't-t know..." taehyung sighed looking at jungkook's state and pulled the boy to a hug "yo-you were tired and i didn't want to disturb you.."

"hey it's my duty to make sure you are sleeping well every night. i'm sorry i didn't sleep or cuddled you this week,, i- i was just too tired to even care where i landed" taehyung softly running his fingers through jungkook's silky hair making the younger calm and safe

" 'm fine you were tired" jungkook's voice come out muffled due to his face was squished to taehyung's broad chest "can we cuddle..?" taehyung let out a soft chuckle before setting them both in a comfortable position, humming some soft tune, slowly lulling the younger to sleep unknownly

they both know it somewhere deep in their heart that this cuddle would eventually lead to a sleeping session, although they have just woken up, but they was just something, their presence would make each other calm and peace, safe and sound. they needed that and they found it in each other.

safe to say, the others know what would happen to both youngest once they stepped in the room and cuddled, but they wouldn't mind anyway.

besides,, even if you try to seperate them, you'll just find them back to each other arms no matter what or how. that's just how it goes, how their story goes..
