"Y/n Y/Ln to studio 5" a voice says over the intercom
It had been 24 hours since my encounter with Lauren. I debated for hours on whether or not I was gonna show up today, it's not like I had much of a choice though, it was either show up or get sued.
"Where is she Lauren?! Why didn't you tell me you knew each other before we hired her?! If this movie falls through it's on-" Ray says
"-Ray calm down, I'm here" I say walking into the audition room
"Thank God" Lauren says
"Can we just get this over with" I say
"That's the sprit" Ray claps as he signals his assistant to let the first person in

"Wow that was amazing" Lauren says
"Incredible" Ray says
"I think she may be perfect for the role" Lauren says
"Agreed" Ray says
"...Y/n? What do you think?" She asks me
I thought a lot. But I decided if I had to stay directing this shit show of a movie, I might as well not let it completely suck.
"Yeah... I like her" I say
"What?" They say in unison
"...She good for the role" I say. "She really embodies m- I mean the ex"
"Ok... so Gwen?" Lauren says
"Yes" The actress says
"Cool, we'll be in touch" Lauren smiles
"See what can happen when we act civilized" Ray says as Gwen leaves the room
"Let's just finish the auditions Ray" I say rolling my eyes

"And that's a wrap!" Ray cheers
"I can't believe we've cast the leads already" Lauren smiles
"We have Gwen as the ex and Nicole as you Lauren" Ray says
"They're gonna kill it" Lauren says
"Yep..." I say
"Ok I'll see you two in a few days to finish casting" Ray smiles as he leaves the studio
"...Good work today" Lauren awkwardly says
"Yeah, we don't have to do this" I say beginning to walk away
"Hey wait" she says
"What?" I say
"What about the goodbye slap?" She smirks
The goodbye slap, something we hadn't done in 5 years, something we used to do when we were together.
"The goodbye slap?" I laugh. "...I haven't heard that in forever"
"We would never leave each other without doing it" She laughs
"We were so stupid" I laugh
The goodbye slap consisted of a hug, a butt slap, an 'I love you' and... a kiss. We started it when we were much younger and over time, we just never stopped. She created it because I was mad at her for something and I left without saying goodbye. This way no matter how mad we were at each other, we always said goodbye and I love you.
"One for old times sake?" She laughs
"...Why not" I hesitantly say
"Come here" she laughs pulling me into a hug and slapping my butt
"Ok I'll see you later" I laugh pulling away from her
"What about my kiss?" She says
"I think we can let that one slide" I laugh as I walk towards the door
"Y/n wait" she says pushing me against the wall and pressing her lips against mine
And despite everything, I didn't want to admit it but, I missed this.
"-Lauren what are you doing?" I say pushing her off of me
"What I should've done 5 years ago" she says
"I have a boyfriend" I say
"Who, that softboy with the dirty hair" she says
"He actually washes his hair quite often- softboy? Wtf is a softboy?" I say
"A poetic fuckboy" She says
"...What in the hell" I say
"He woos you with words instead on his body" she says
"-Yeah I get it" I say. "And he's not"
"Sure..." she says
"I'm gonna go now" I say looking away from her as I open the door
