Will kept Percy in bed for a few days, then he suggested that they start seeing what physical tolls the son of Poseidon's injuries had taken.

"You look pretty good for the most part." He told Percy as Annabeth helped him cross the room. "A little shaky on your feet, but that should go away. And you might have some hand-eye coordination problems because of the concussion but once you get back out and start practicing your swordplay again that will go away."

Percy nodded, trying to put as much of his weight on his own feet that he could. "I'll get practicing, doc."

"Don't push yourself too hard." Will warned him sharply.

"Trust me, it's not worth it." Nico grumbled bitterly. He'd been stuck in the infirmary as well at Will's insistence, and was not enjoying his stay.

Will rolled his eyes. "A few days of bedrest won't kill you, di Angelo."

"You don't know that." Nico snarked back.

Annabeth chuckled and looked up at Percy, smiling softly. "At least you're on the mend."

"And hopefully not going to get injured again any time soon." He smiled back and kissed her quickly. "Where's Steve?"

"Once Bucky was on his feet again they started doing training sessions. He's teaching Steve to use a sword."

"That can't be going well." Percy laughed.

"Probably not." Annabeth shrugged. "We'll only find out through time... you could always help too if you feel up to it. Or if you need a refresher course."

"From Bucky?" He snorted. "No thank you. He's a bit..."

"Aggressive?"

"I was going to say sadistic, mean, or downright unhealthy." Percy shrugged. "He's got a lot of anger to get rid of."

"Well when you look at what he went through-" Nico pointed out.

"I went through a lot of that too, I'm not that mean."

"You have your moments." Annabeth grinned.

Percy shot her an offended look and she pointed at her head. "I'm pretty sure I still have a bald patch from when you were trying to drown me, Jackson."

"That wasn't me though!" He pointed out. "That's the idiot in the back of my head who has reduced himself to intrusive thoughts because he can't do anything else."

"He's still there?" Will's head shot up.

"Well yeah. I think he always will be to an extent. But now it's kind of like a mean fourteen-year-old telling me I should kill myself, rather than a full-blown assassin that has control over my body." Percy shrugged.

"We may have to look into that regardless. Having that in your mind cannot be good for you." Will shook his head and turned away, muttering something about his father.

"No no no, I do not want Apollo involved." Percy said quickly. "I can deal with him maybe once in a decade. Not even."

"Fine. I'll talk to someone else." Will tossed over his shoulder, looking over the medical sheet he had for Percy. There was something on it that was bothering him, but he wasn't sure what it was. That made him even more annoyed, because he was a medical professional for Zeus' sake. He should know what these little anomalies should add up to.

He was brought back to the present by Percy calling his name. "Will? Hey-"

"Sorry, yeah?"

"Am I allowed outside yet?" The son of Poseidon asked. "I'm getting pretty cooped up in this little infirmary."

"Yeah, go ahead, just be careful." Will waved him off, looking at the sheet again and gritting his teeth. What was it? Why couldn't he figure out the problem?

Annabeth helped Percy out of the room and out into the sunlight, then the room went quiet.

For a few moments anyway, then someone shuffled across the floor and wrapped their arms around Will's waist.

"What's wrong?" Nico asked quietly.

Will sighed and waved the sheet around. "I don't know. There's something fishy here-"

"Well it is Percy's medical sheet."

"Ha ha. Very funny."

Nico sighed. "Sorry, I know this should be taken seriously... you can't figure out what's wrong?"

Will shook his head. "It's just little things here and there and I have this horrible feeling in my gut that I should know what it all adds up to, but I just can't think of what it is!"

"Maybe you should talk to your dad then. He is the god of healing and all that, he probably has all the vocabulary stuck in his brain at all times." Nico suggested. "Just don't bring him face to face with Percy and everything should be fine."

"Yeah... that's a good idea, Neeks, thank you."

"Am I allowed to leave my bed yet?" Nico asked as Will began to pack some of his things up to go talk to his dad.

"Yes, but don't be stupid."

Nico grinned. "No promises, but I'll try."
