Summer, five years ago.

Kung hindi ko lang kahihiram ng five hundred sa bruha kong kaibigang 'to, hindi ako sasama. Except for the fact that I have my part-time job tomorrow, I will take my special tests. Pero wala talagang patawad ang magaling na babae. Pinsan talaga 'to ni Satanas!

Bumuntong hininga ako. Kahit sobrang labag sa loob ko at sa alang-alang ng utang ko, tumango ako.

Nagtatalon-talon naman ang bruha at sinabing mauuna na siyang gagayak.

Synthia Onessa is the woman I never thought I would be friends with. Sa totoo lang may masamang aura siya at hindi ako nagkamali doon, pinsan talaga niya ang demonyo. The thing is, despite how evil she is, she's the realest person I've met and I'd rather be friends with the devil rather than some fake angels. We clicked and the next thing I know, we can't really seperate our lives anymore.

I opened my closet and chose what to wear. I haven't been in a speed dating party before. Wala naman kasi akong time para doon but I do get the idea of it. Knowing Syn, I also got the idea of what I should I wear. Lucky for me, I have some killer dresses.

I'm working part-time at small fashion firm. Dahil estudyante pa lang naman ako at sa totoo lang hindi ko kayang bumili ng sobrang gagandang dress, nilibre lang lahat iyon ng boss ko. She said I was efficient enough to receive the dresses she made with her own hands.

I chose the dark moss green halter dress. It has cuts on the sides, almost giving a tease of the side boobs, and a low back. Nakuha ko 'to noong pasko at sabi ni boss, isa daw 'to sa mga pinaka-paborito niya. This is actually the first time I'm wearing it.

Pagkalabas ni Syn ng banyo, ako naman ang gumayak.

Speed dating party.

Hope it's at least as half fun as it sounds.

"Calderon, meet Jason, the event manager. Mr. J, meet the woman I've been talking about, Sonia Marienne Calderon."

Nakipagkamay ako sa sinasabi niyang Jason. He looks so young!

Ngumisi ito. "Don't be fooled, Miss Calderon, I'm already on my thirties." Kinindatan niya pa ako. "Come, I'll explain the details."

The part which why the event has started was all a big blur to me. Noong nags-start na ang mechanics doon ko lang ulit naintindihan ang mga sinasabi ni Mr. J.

The VIP section of this club where we are right now has eleven tables in total which are arranged in a circular manner. Sa loob, doon uupo ang mga lalaki, sa labas naman ang babae. Counter clockwise ang pag-ikot ng mga lalaki, clockwise nanan ang babae. It's like a Trip to Jerusalem game except everyone have their own seats. Each couple have a minute to actually impress each other, introduce themselves, do whatever they want. Again, iyon lang ang naintindihan ko. After 11 minutes dahil 11 pairs lang naman, doon mo na yata pwedeng ayain ng totoong date ang kung sino mang natipuhan mo. There's one more thing that caught my attention, the couple that would pass Mr. J's taste would recieve cash from him. What the heck. Namimigay ng pera!
