Zayn was messing around with his hair to get to somehow look good. He knew it won't matter cause the minute he sees one of his parents or Doniya, his older sister they were going to mess it up either hugging him or just running their hands through it; with all that being said he wouldn't change those little moments for the world.
"ZAYN! We are ready to leave let's go!" His mother's voice came. He hurriedly put on his boots and rushed down stairs were all his family were standing wearing beautiful gowns, while his father was wearing a formal shirt like him. Zayn was wearing a black vest jacket with grey pants and black boots, which in his opinion wasn't so bad after all.

"How are you feeling bachay? Excited, nervous?" His dad questioned.
"I am fine Abu" Zayn muttered as his dad engulfed him in a bear hug and ruffled his hair(as he expected). "Let's go, we don't want my future in-laws waiting now do we" He said laughing nervously.
"I am so proud of you beta for trusting us with your future, you won't be disappointed. Liam is a good man, he will take care of you, always" Trisha said.
"Yeah! Bhaiya we can beat him up if he doesn't! I will attack him" Saafa said hugging Zayn's leg. Zayn loved these small moments with his family and he hoped that he would create a bond with his future family too.
The Malik's headed out and when they reached the restaurant they were meeting with the Payne's Zayn's eyes widened when he was introduced to Liam. Everything stopped moving around him. Liam was dressed in a maroon Armani jacket and was currently greeting Waliyha as she animatedly spoke with him.

"Hello, I am Liam." He said bringing his hand forward to greet. Wow! That's all Zayn was thinking...
"Zayn, pleasure!" Zayn shook Liam's extended hand. "This is Saafa." Zayn said pointing to his sister clinging to his leg.
As everyone took their places, Zayn and Liam were made to sit next to each other so they could talk and get to know each other. Niall across from them talking with Doniya and her husband, Zakir. At the end of the table sat our parents with Waliyha and Saafa, who was whining to sit next to me.
"Sooooo, you're a doctor?" Liam said looking at Zayn.
"Ummm, yeah a resident at Treat with Kindness Medical centre " Zayn replies Shyly. Liam was making him nervous but in a good way. He came across as someone who might not take bullshit from anyone and honestly Zayn was feeling kind of intimidated by his intense gaze.
"Oh my best friend is the current CEO if that's hospital!" Liam said excitedly. "How many years till your residency is over?"
"1 more year. I am almost done" Zayn replied looking Liam in the eye. "I didn't know Mr. Styles is your friend, I am glad we hold some acquaintances then..." he said shyly moving his gaze.
"I know this might come across as rude but do you want this?" Liam asked nervously.
"I am confused... want what?" Zayn said looking at him unsure.
"This relationship, this marriage I mean" Liam said correcting himself looking at Zayn expectantly.
A blush coated Zayn's cheeks and he looked away playing with fingers in his lap, "I mean I want this of course but only time will tell if this was a good decision. Do you want this?" He questioned back.
"I wasn't sure before coming to this dinner but I guess I won't hurt to give this a shot. Our parents must have thought we would pair a good pair that's why they decided on us for each other, I respect their decision." Liam said looking at Zayn. Zayn smiled and looked away to where Niall was busy stuffing his fries down.
"So tell me more about yourself..." Zayn said looking back at Liam.
"Well I am starting a new pharmaceutical business, I love my family, I am 26 years old and the rest is for me to know and you to find out." Liam said smirking a little. "Tell me about yourself then Zayn"
"Ummm, as you already know I am a resident doctor at Treat with Kindness Medical Centre, I have 3 sister... I love to paint, I am 24 and i am very excited to find out everything else about you" Zayn smirked, flirting back with Liam. Liam's eyes widened at Zayn's last sentence and he choked on the lemonade he was sipping.
"Little minx..." Liam said under his breathe as he looked at Zayn's wiping his mouth... Zayn trying to stifle his laughter. "You're a saucy one... this will be fun." He said watching at Zayn blushed a pretty pink.
Their spell of each other was broken as Yaser clapped his hands to get everyone's attention on the table. "We have decided that if Zayn and Liam agree, we would like to have you guys engaged this week!" He said happily. Zayn's eyes widened at that and he looked at Liam who had a reassuring look in his eyes that calmed down Zayn immediately. Zayn heard Liam mumble a 'yes' and he shook his own head showing his positive response. Cheers erupted on their table and Ziam looked at each other nervously. This was really happening.
"You all are invited to come over for lunch at our home tomorrow to talk more about how we want to plan this engagement..." Karen spoke lightly.
"We can also fix the wedding date and Liam and Zayn will also get to spend some time together... I am sure they would appreciate it" Trisha replied.
"So I guess I will see you tomorrow Li" Zayn said smiling shyly.
"Yes" Liam replied breathlessly looking at Zayn's beautiful hazel bambi eyes. Liam had figured out quite quickly that Zayn can make his emotions go hay wire very quickly and that scared him to no hell! Damn those eyes...
Soon they all said their good byes and Zayn was already calling Louis even before he got inside his room, to tell his best friend about the dynamic blast that was Liam.
"Louis you won't believe it..." and so Zayn told Louis all about his night with the Payne's and the LIAM PAYNE.
Zayn couldn't wait to start his life with Liam and his family. Although moving away from his home to Liam's would be difficult, he would miss his siblings but he couldn't wait to talk more with Niall and see if they would develop a friendship. Geoff and Karen treated Zayn very kindly and he was sure that adjusting in the Payne household wouldn't be a trouble.
With dreams in his eyes, he fell into a peaceful slumber and on the other side of town Liam was just as excited about their union.
