(This ended up being much longer than I anticipated, just a little heads up on that. Like, I had to make the chapter abruptly end because I didn't want it to be TOO long.)

Nagito ran in a hurry, which didn't mean much as he'd have to stop every now and then to catch his breath. God, he hated running. But that didn't matter, because for once in his life, he was genuinely panicking.

One would assume that the thing stressing him out was the news that Fuyuhiko's sister, Natsumi Kuzuryu, had been murdered. But frankly, Nagito didn't care about that at all. He didn't know the girl personally, and even if he did, she was just another measly Reserve Course student who couldn't accept her place in the world. No, what had him freaked out was that the pictures he had taken ended up getting mixed up with Mahiru's, meaning they were currently in her possession. And you just happened to be meeting up with her today. Great. Just his luck.

You screamed as you turned a corner and slammed into Nagito as a result. You quickly got into the fetal position and started saying things he couldn't hear. He figured that suddenly touching someone so abruptly like that freaked you out more than usual. He also figured that things didn't look good for him when the people you were meeting with saw him leaning over you.

"(Name)! What happened!?" Mikan asked.

"I accidentally scared her. Sorry." Nagito said. He had to play things cool for now. Your view of him was negative enough as it is and he didn't want it to get any worse.

"Oh my gosh! How long were you here you pervert!?" Hiyoko yelled.

"I followed (Name) here but I never went inside. I didn't hear anything you were talking about." Nagito said.

"You better not have!" Said... some girl. Like with Fuyuhiko's sister, Nagito saw no reason to care who this girl even was, seeing as how she also appeared to be another Reserve Course student not worth giving a damn about.

"...Yeah. I just need to talk with (Name). Alone." Nagito said, his tone being allot more cold to the Reserve Course girl.

"Ibuki won't let you even go near-" You cut Ibuki off by standing up and looking like you weren't on the verge of a breakdown just a few seconds ago.

"It's fine. I have a few words for him myself." You said. Nagito appeared to instantly brighten up at the news that you actually wanted to talk to him.

"Great! Follow me!" Nagito said before walking away. You sighed and followed him. You were already regretting your decision.

"What do you want to talk about?" You asked.

"You go first." Nagito said.

"Okay. Have you been taking pictures of me?" You asked. You could see Nagito tense up at the question.

"What? Of course not! Someone like me has no right to capture you on camera! Besides, if I did, how would you know they were of you? They would look blurry to the point that you wouldn't be able to tell what it's supposed to be." Nagito said.

"Alright. Well, then what do you want?" You asked.

Crap. Nagito didn't really think he'd get this far. He thought you'd just shoo him away once he gave you an answer. Now he had to think of something to say without looking too suspicious.

"I... uh... wanted to know if... you're free Sunday?" Nagito asked. He covered his mouth in shock. Did he just ask you out? He never thought he'd see the day he actually got the courage to do such a thing. He quickly braced himself for rejection. He knew there was no way you'd say yes.

You were about to tell him to piss off when you remembered a conversation you had earlier that day. Ms. Yukizome had talked to Nagito and told you that he said he only did the things that he did because he had no idea how to actually talk to you, and that if you actually tried to get to know him, he probably wouldn't seem as bad as you first thought.
