Emma woke groggily, rubbing her face and wondering why she was so tired. She stumbled clumsily out of her bed and didn't bother to get changed. She slammed the dorm room shut behind her and wandered aimlessly around. She was just beginning to prepare some
tea, when a surprised Emily walked into the room. "Emma? Why are you up so late?"
"Food," She grunted, gesturing towards the teacup. Emily picked it up and examined it. Emma had forgotten to add teabags, and hot water was swirling around clogs of sugar. Emily giggled silkily. "You are so cute when you are tired," She said quietly. This seemed to snap Emma out of her state and she stared at her, blushing furiously. "I-I um y-you j-"
"What are you going to do? Stutter at me?" The doctor said teasingly. Emma, clearly flustered, stared irritated, at her fluffy bunny slippers.
"I don't recall you being sassy, Dr Dyer."
"And I don't recall you using surnames, Miss Woods."
Emma gave her a playful dirty look.
Emily laughed again.
"Go to bed, Emma."
"I don't want to! Why don't you go to bed?"
"Ah, that is simply because I don't want to."
"Then I don't want to either. You aren't my mother..."
"Perhaps not, Emma, I wish to be something more than a mother to you," Emily said gently.
Emma gaped at her in silence.
"Now go to bed!" She said in a irritated manner.
