He's Gone | Bucky Barnes + T'Challa Udaku

The red flashing lights only fueled your adrenaline rush as you raced down the hallway to where the Winter Soldier was.

Hiding behind a column so that he couldn't see you coming, you waited until he was walking away to attack, reminding yourself that this wasn't Bucky. 

You threw a few punches that he easily blocked before you launched yourself up in a jump, spinning with your foot out so that it kicked him in the face.

"Cognitive recalibration," You panted, trying to knock him out. "Bucky you could at least recognize me!" 

He didn't respond, instead throwing more punches that you evaded. 

You kept up the attack, trying to hit his head hard enough to reset the Winter Soldier protocols until he grabbed your arm and launched you backward.

"No!" You yelled as you hit the back wall. Now Bucky was free to escape.

That is, he would have been, but at that moment T'Challa ran in, quickly taking in the situation before throwing himself at the Winter Soldier.

 "He's gone," You said, a bit sadly.
"Barnes got away with Captain Rogers," T'Challa told General Ross.
Ross turned to the two of you. "How?"
"I am not sure," T'Challa sounded genuinely confused, and all the more angry.
"He's the Winter Soldier. Hydra's fist. What did you expect us to be able to do against that mind control?" You mumbled, hoping that Ross couldn't hear it.
If he did, he decided to ignore it. "We need a team on this, Barnes has to be brought back."
