When the school day came to an end, Angela headed to her car and placed her stuff in the back seat. Right when she was about to get in, someone grabbed her arm and turned her around, shoving her back against the door.

"Hey, gorgeous."

Angela looked up at the man in shock, feeling small from the height difference and the way his crystal blue eyes shone with lust. His blonde fluffy hair ruffled slightly from hours of running his fingers through it and going wonderfully with his sharp jawline. His muscles bulging from underneath the red jersey he wore, the number standing out boldly in the front with the name Mason spelled on his sleeves.

"H-hi," Angela stuttered, getting more nervous and smaller by the second. He made her uncomfortable and it got worse when a crooked smile appeared across his mouth.

So much for not talking.

"Where's a pretty thing like you headed?" Mason asked, a southern accent surfacing in his voice. His hands shifted to her hips, making a fire from deep in her sprouting across her cheeks.

 "H-home."

"Oh come on, doll," Mason says, getting closer to her face than she would like. "Don't I deserve a little more than one-word answers from that pretty mouth of yours?"

"W-W-We just...I just m-met-" His eyes softened and placed his hands on the side of her arms, Angela just realizing that she was shaking from head to toe.

"You okay, doll? I don't mean to make you so nervous. Damn, you're shaken like a leaf."

"S-sorry, I-I just-"

"You just what, doll?" Mason began, a smirk forming across his mouth. "Think I'm incredible-"

"MASON! WHERE ARE YOU, YOU DUMB FUCK?!"

Mason stiffened and moved away from Angela before taking off in the other direction, sending a wink her way before disappearing behind a car.

She sighed out in relief before getting in the car, buckling up, and locking her car. Blowing out a breath, Angela braced her head against the steering wheel, trying to calm her breathing.

Everything's okay. She told herself over and over again. Everything was okay.

Taking a final breath,  she started up the engine and drove home.

Once Angela got in the driveway of her home, she pulled into the garage and walked inside.

"Mom, Dad I-I'm h-home!" She shouts, placing her things down next to the island. When her parents didn't answer, she walked over to the fridge and saw a note pinned there.

Hi honey,

Your father and I  just went out for our anniversary, we'll be home tomorrow morning.

Love, mom and dad.

Angela smiled. Her parents have been married for ten years and they still act as if they were in their teens. Their love was something she wished she would have but knew it wasn't possible with the stutter.

Sighing, Angela opened the fridge and grabbed the container holding the carrots. She placed it on the island and ate a few carrots when there was a knock on the door. She looked around then swallowed what was in her mouth before walking into the living room and to the front door.

Angela's heart pounded widely in her chest as she moved the curtain to the side, getting a better look at who it was. Her eyes widened and closed the curtains before opening the door.
