Clouis hcs💓😩

(SPOILERS FOR S4 EP3)
The premise of these hcs is meant to be after Louis gets his tounge out at the Delta and (assuming we they both get home in ep.4) Clem has to help Louis deal with what happened at the delta and help him regain as much speach as possible. Another reminder he only gets his tongue cut out if the player saves Violet in Ep2. So these hcs are written for if you save Violet from the raiders but romanced Louis in ep2

- Life after the Delta was... rough

-Every person that was kidnapped wouldn't be the same ever again, especially Louis

- In the months after the Delta Louis didn't want to be left alone(understandably)

-So Clem slept in his room, just telling him stories until he fell asleep and holding him while he cried

-She would never yell at him. It reminded him of Lilly

-Louis would try to talk back and get the jokes out that always came to his mind

-So clem told him to write them down in aasim's journal and she would always read them aloud

-Card games were still a must of course

-Clem made sure I sit next to Louis and try to translate his bad speech

-Ruby made Louis gargle salt water everyday to keep out infection

-it was so painful, but Clem always held his hand while he did it

-One day Tenn was in the old library and found an American sign language book. He gave it to Clem

-Clem and Louis learned the asl alphabet together and quite a few words

-They were no where near fluent but it made communicating so much easier

-They set aside time everyday they could to read through the book and learn

-Louis felt betrayed by Clem letting him get taken by the raiders, but she was endlessly apologetic

-Louis knew that the same could have happened to Violet if Clem didn't save her and he would rather it happend to him

-He wouldn't wish that experience on anyone else

-One day Clem had lookout duty and Louis insisted on going with her

-they sat and talked(well Clem talked) Louis adding in where he could and signing the rest

-He stopped Clem mid sentence by holding up his hand

-and then with some difficulty he signed "I love you"

-an endearing smile at the end

-Clem squeezed his hand and kissed him

-"I love you too, Lou. I really do", tears welled in her eyes as she remembered all the terrors of the delta

-Clem was overwhelmed with guilt for watching Louis get taken

-As if Louis read her mind he scooted closer and put his arm around her

-he attempted to say "Its not your fault. I forgive you"

-It came out a jumble of words but Clem smiled and dried her eyes

-She understood
