Demigods At Hogwarts

Chapter 16

Hermione POV

Their explanation made sense. I even asked Percy about the tattoo afterward. It was a camp mark. All the weird events and nicknames made sense now. However they still haven't told us why they're at Hogwarts and I intend to find out.

We returned to Hogwarts. Ron joined the quidditch team as a keeper. He got awfully nervous. During one game Hagrid wanted to show us something. He originaly wanted Harry and I to come alone but relented when Percy and Annabeth insisted they come too. He said that the other three couldn't come because Ron needed support. We left for the forest.

Percy POV

I was a little nervous about following Hagrid into the forest but Harry seemed to trust him and Annabeth stood next to me, giving me strength . We trudged forward for half an hour before we reached a clearing. Harry and Hermione were out of breath and sweaty. Annabeth and I hadn't even cracked a sweat when we saw a pile of rocks in the distance. It took a few seconds to realise it was a giant.

"Um Hagrid" began Hermione "What is it?"

"A giant" said Annabeth quietly "why is it here?"

"'E's my 'alf brother" explained Hagrid "'E's short for a giant and 'e were bein' bullied"

"That's not safe" said Hermione shrilly "Oh Hagrid"

"I was thinkin' that that Toad woman might... might get rid o' me so I wanted some'un to look after 'im"

"Us" exclaimed Harry

"Well I though I could trust ya"

We stood dumbfounded. I still wanted to kill it but a Hagrid would get angry and we had only just earned Harry's trust.

The next few months were torturous but nothing much happened. We went into a DA session. Everyone had improved lots. We were practising when we heard banging noises

"What was that" asked Nico, cocking his head toward the noise

"I don't know" replied Harry

We looked out and saw the toad. Percy took the lead

"Youngest students get out the small door. Get to your dorms. Nico, Thalia and Hazel head them off. Annabeth and I'll try and hold them while the rest get out" he said calmly. Everyone obeyed him, there were so many similarities between him and Harry, they were both leaders.

The youngest kids got out. Thalia, Nico and Hazel shadow travelled out. They had explained lots of their powers to us. We heard banging noises and knew the distraction was successful. Everyone, excluding the trio and the demigods, fled. Luna took the back of the group, ensuring they would all get back to their common rooms safely, Thalia, Nico and Hazel shadow travelled to the common room with Ron and Hermione. Annabeth, Harry and I stood facing Umbridge and the Inquisitorial Squad.

"Well, well, well" the toad said

"Three Hogwarts students" I said cheekily

"You can come with me" she said nastily before turning and leaving the squad to drag us.

Harry POV

We were dragged into Dumbledore's office. One of the DA girls, Marietta Edgecombe, stood there with Professor Dumbledore, The Minister for Magic, Kingsley Shackbolt, Dawlish the Auror.

"I, with some assistance, have apprehended these students who saw fit to form an society, deliberately obeying educational decrees put in place for their benefit" Umbridge said to the Minister "I have a sheet here with the name of everyone involved. However, the group name is the most shocking thing it is DUMBLEDORE'S ARMY" she paused, waiting for it to sink in

"My god" exclaimed the Minister "and this group was led by Harry Potter, with help from these American students"

"No" said Dumbledore calmly

"What?" I exclaimed "no, Professor!"

Percy stood on my foot

"As I was saying" Dumbledore continued "it was my orders this group was created on, hence the name Dumbledore's Army. It was my group."

"Well you are coming with us" the Minister said triumphantly. Toady let out a small laugh.

"Ah, I see you are under the impression I will... come quietly" he said with a twinkle in his eye "I think not"

"Dawlish, Shacklebolt" the Minister cried "get him"

The two Aurors leapt foward. Fawkes the Phoenix flew in front of Dumbledore and the two disappeared with a flash. McGonagall pushed Annabeth, Percy, Marietta and I down. When we got back up Dumbledore was gone and rest of the people in the room were unconscious. I looked at Marietta's face, it had sneak written on it. Hermione was amazing.

"Back to bed" McGonagall said "Quickly"

We got back to the common room in record time

"Goodnight Percy, Annabeth" I said

They bade me the same before going to bed.
