Wally woke up to a dimly lit room yet it was still so bright. He stared at the white ceiling for a minute before really recognizing where he was. The med bay. He searched his mind for how he got here or why he was here. After a moment the arctic came into his mind and he breathed in relief. He survived. Dick would have killed him if he had died at the arctic yesterday.

Slowly he looked around and noticed his hand was being held. He glanced at Dick and scanned the sleeping man over. Has his hair always been that long? Wally scanned the part of his fiancee's face he could see and found tear tracks. Perhaps he had been out for a few days. Not that surprising considering the amount of energy he was hit with.

"Dickie," Wally whispered, suddenly surprised at how hoarse his voice sounded, like he hadn't used it in a year. Dick snapped up at Wally's voice, eyes growing wide and filling with tears.

"Wally," Dick whispered, almost in disbelief, "Oh, god, Wally." Dick practically threw himself into Wally's arms sobbing into the older's chest.

Wally looked at the younger in his arms in surprise, "Dickie, hey it's okay. I'm okay. You're okay. Everything is okay now." Despite the words that would normally calm Dick down it only made him cling to Wally more. Dick looked up at Wally tears freely flowing down his cheeks and pulled Wally into a long kiss.

"Not that I don't appreciate the love, darling," Wally started, "But what is going on? Getting hurt isn't exactly new and you've never been this... distraught before." Dick looked up at Wally in surprise. He didn't know.

"Wally," Dick started, holding back his tears because he knew Wally was about to panic, "Wally, you've been gone for over a year. You disappeared in the arctic saving the world. It's been a year. We just found you in the arctic from a storm of electricity." Wally opened his mouth then closed it multiple times, not fully comprehending the words that had just come from Dick's mouth.

"I...a year?!" Wally said in surprise. At Dick's nod Wally pulled the younger man onto his lap and kissed him feverishly, "Oh, Dickie, I'm so sorry."

Dick laughed a little, tears still falling and pressed another kiss to Wally's cheek, "It isn't your fault. You saved Impulse. You saved the world. God, I love you so much. You have nothing to be sorry for."

Wally pulled him into another kiss and they sat on the bed in the med bay for the next few hours, snuggled up tightly. Neither seemed to want to let go and Dick definitely knew he wouldnt be letting go for a long time.
