Chapter 13: New chapter of life
Katrina's POV.
Two years had past, my mom and tito got married, and the only thing I can say about my self is, I am doing great at school and had a good friend.
"Congratulation Katrina! You top the whole batch" My professor said as I walked inside her office
"Thank you so much Mrs. Walker" I smiled at her
She is actually one of my favorite professor, she is
very nice, and she never let me feel left out ever since I went to University of Auckland, plus her subject is my favorite, English.
"The reason why I called you here is, the University actually want to sponsor you for exchange student in one of the most prestigious university in the Philippines, Fortallio University" she said
My brows raised when I heard the familiar university, it was the university owned by the Fortalejo.
I am really planning to go back there for my last year of high school, but I didn't expect I would be to offered for exchange students.
I gladly accept the offer then she let me signed few documents first and told me I needed a parent agreement before I leave her office.
"Saan ka galing?" My friend asked
She is my friend here in Univeristy, she's a half filipino, half kiwi, sa pilipinas siya lumaki at nag move in here sa NZ last five years.
I told her about the exchange student thingy, and explain how does it works.
"OMG! For real? Did you accept it?" She asked, I nodded.
"OMG! I'm so happy for you! And excited hihi" ngumiti lang ako sakaniya ay inaya na siyng mag lunch.
"Are you really sure about your decision?" Mom asked me again, she's been asking that since yesterday, she already signed the documents, flight ko na nga ngayon.
"Mom, I'm very sure, please stop asking na po" I gave her a convincing smile, she just sighed and smiled back.
"Be safe okay? call me when something happens, we will be there next week, may need lang tapusin na work here, I love you!" Mom said.
I gave her a smile and nodded, she's so sweet, sinamahan niya pa talaga ako sa pag uwi ko, just to make sure na I will be okay, kahit na against talaga siya una palang, because she want to settle here in NZ until the rest of our life. I really love my mom so much.
Inilabas ko na lahat ng maleta na hawak ko sa room at tinulungan naman akong ibaba yon ng mga maids, pababa na ako nang sumulpot sa tabi ko si grany.
"Gusto mo bang samahan kita doon?" Tanong niya habang pababa pa din kami ng hagdan
"I can manage grany" I respond, hanggang makaabot na kami nang labasan
"Grany, about Nicole" Sambit ko at humarap sakaniya
"Is there's a possibility that I will meet her?"
"Sana anak, dahil ultimo tito Richard mo, hindi sila mahagilap" Sagot niya at ngumiti saakin.
Nagpaalam na ako sakanilang lahat bago tuluyan umalis.
I really want to see Nicole, I felt something different when grany mentioned her before.
Quenji's POV.
"You're doing it wrong!" I sighed, I get the notebook from her and write the proper equations
I am currently at the library with my friends and Irish.
Irish and I had a talk before, she said she's sorry, and willing to do everything for forgiveness, I admit, she's still earning my forgiveness and trust, I didn't want her to come along with us but she's always coming, I don't have the urge to argue so I just let her, and she's somehow kind with my friends so they let her too.
She also told me she felt sorry for Katrina.
Speaking of her, I hope she's doing fine, it has been two years.
"Hey! I'm talking to you!" I get back to my senses when Irish snap her finger in front my face
"What is it again?" I asked her, masyado yata lumalim ang iniisip ko
"About this-" she stopped when quira interrupted na kadadating lang
"Ay ayoko na palang kumain, I lost my appetite" She said, then rolled her eyes while looking to Irish
"You're starting again" Irish respond, she might have known that Quira doesn't like her presence
"May naririnig ba kayo guys? Ako kase wala"
"YOU!" Irish was about to get up but I stopped her
"Irish! That's my sister, sit down!" I command with serious tone
"But quen! She's too much!" Irish sounds annoyed, napailing nalang ako
"No you're too much! Ano nanaman bang ginagawa mo dito? Pilit mong sinisiksik ang sarili mo! Kung makadikit ka naman kay quenji, girlfriend ka?" Quira said in irritation
"Oy tama na yan! Ichill nyo lang" Jacob interrupted, sinamaan naman siya nang tingin ni quira kaya natikom ito bago ibinalik ni quira ang tingin kay Irish
"Gosh so nakakairita, makaalis nanga dito!"
"Where are you going?" I asked
"Sa airport bakit?" She raised her brows at me
"Anong gagawin mo don?" I asked again ỉn curiosity, even my friends were confuse
"Wag mong sabihin uuwi si katrina?" V said while laughing, we all look at him, I felt something strange for what he said.
"N-nagbibiro lang ako, ang seryoso niyo makatingin" yumuko siya at pinagpatuloy kumain
I look at Quira, questioning her what will she do there
"I ordered a bag from London and I can't wait to see it so I will be picking it up at the airport, you satisfied now?" She answered then turned her back against us without even letting us respond.
"Restroom lang ako" Irish get up and left us here.
I know Quira is lying, I hope I'm right.
