Chapter 25: Nicole
Katrina's POV.
Week had passed, nothing really change aside from Lucas being extra distant from me, mga kaibigan ko nalang din ang nag aaya sakaniya mag lunch, kung hindi siya aayain ay hindi rin siya sasabay, well sinabi ko naman na pwede pa din siya sumabay saamin pero nahihiya lang akong mag approach.
While Quenji, we both ignoring each other, minsan nahuhuli ko siyang nakatingin, pero agad rin siyang umiiwas, I still don't know how to feel sa nangyari nung nakaraan, my friends won't dare to ask me what happened, maybe they're just waiting for me to say something.
"Movie tayo tapos Arcade after?" Quira opened the topic, we're walking at the corridor, dismissal na kaya nagkakaayaan na sila.
"Looks fun! Let's go!" Pat excitedly said, napakamot nalang ako dahil may pupuntahan ako ngayon.
"May lakad ako e, bawi nalang ako next time" I said
"Saan naman? Grabe na siya oh, madalang nalang nga tayo nagb-bond, bestfriend ka pa ba? Yung tampo ko sayo abot na sa mars to the max level" I laughed from what Quira just said, pero I really can't make it right now, I'm meeting with tito today.
"I swear, babawi ako, ingat kayo! Bye!" Nauna na akong naglakad papalayo sakanila, narinig ko pang tawagin ako ni Quira ngunit kumaway nalang ako bago tuluyan makalayo.
*Tito is calling;
I am now near at the field when my phone rings.
"Hey Kat? Are done with your class?"
"Yes po, almost kakatapos lang"
"Do you want me to pick you up? I'm on my way na din from the office"
"No po, I brought my car with me, be safe po"
"Okay okay, be safe too, see you!"
End call*
My heart beat got fast as I end the call, we are meeting Nicole today, I am really looking forward to this day yet nervous, I hope it goes well..
I am now walking at the field on my way to the parking lot.
"That's all for today, you may now go home, early dismissal ngayon dahil may meeting kaming coaches na aattendan" napatingin ako sa direksyon na iyon, nandon sila Lucas, kakatapos lang ng training nila.
I stop from walking when I saw Lucas walking near to my direction, napatingin ito saakin ng mapansin akong nakatayo malapit sa bench na lalapitan niya.
"Kat, anong ginagawa mo dito?" Nakangiti ito ng makalapit saakin, kinuha niya ang face towel na nakapatong sa bench at nagpunas ng pawis.
"Hey, I was on my way out, napadaan lang dito, how are you?" I asked, ngumiti ito bago kinuha ang tubig sa loob ng bag niya at ininom iyon, matapos uminom ay tinoon niya saakin ang pansin.
"I'm great" he responds, I smiled at him and then I caught someone from the other side looking at us, it's Quenji, with his few friends, umiwas ito ng tingin ng mapatingin ako sa direksyon niya.
"How's your mom pala? Na miss ko na siyang kausap and yung cookies niya" pag open ko ng topic, natawa naman ito at tinap ang ulo ko, I pouted, mukha ba akong aso?
"Anong nakakatawa don?" Singhal ko sakaniya, lalo pa siyang natawa doon.
"Ang cute mo naman, naiilang ka ba saakin?" Tanong niya.
"Hindi, bakit naman ako maiilang sayo?" I raised my brows at him, what comes in his mind to say that? Do I look awkward?
"Ewan ko, dapat nga ako naiilang sayo" Nakangiti nitong bulong.
"Ano yon?" Tanong ko dahil hindi naging klaro sa pandinig ko ang sinabi niya.
"Wala! Sabi ko si mom lang ba na miss mo? paano naman yung anak?" He said, napailing nalang at tinago ang ngiti, I really want to see this side of him, his activeness, hindi ako sanay sa pag iwas niya saakin, kahit man lang bilang magkaibigan nalang.
"Ewan ko sayo, alis na nga ko!" I said.
"Aha, sige na, be safe and drive safe okay? bye Kat!" He said for the last time and pinched my cheeks.
"Una na ako, ingat ka din pauwi" I responded, I once looked again at Quenji's direction, before I went straight to the parking lot. he wasn't there anymore.
I drove from school to the location that tito sent me, five minutes away lang siya from school kaya sandali lang din akong nakarating.
I parked my car before I grab all my things, I was about to enter the restaurant when I saw Irish entering first, biglang bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko nang makita siya.
Hindi kaya..
Hindi e, pero hindi malabo, anong ginagawa niya dito? Siya ba?
Umiling ako at dahan dahan nagpa tuloy mag lakad papasok ng restaurant, tinatanggi ang posiblidad na baka siya ang matagal ko ng hinihintay.
Pagka pasok ng restaurant ay nakita ko agad si tito sa bandang dulo malapit sa bintana, mag isa siyang nakaupo doon, nakaramdam ako ng ginahawa ng mapagtantong wala siyang kasama, baka nagkamali lang ako ng iniisip.
"Tito, I'm here na po" I greeted him as soon as I went closer to him, he immediately smile when he saw me then give me a short hug.
"You're here! Come on, have a seat" he offered me a seat on his front, I gave him a smile before I sat in front of him, he also took a sit.
"Wala pa po ba si Nicole?" I nervously asked.
"Actually she's here, she just arrived, nag restroom lang sandali" He responded. And that made my heart beat fast again, don't tell me I guess it right-
"Dad" A voice from my back echos in my ear as soon as I heard her voice, I feel like I got froze from my seat and refusing to look back knowing that voice were very familiar to me.
"Anak, you're sister is here" Nakangiting sinalubong siya ni tito, I got the courage to stand up and look back at her direction.
"Irish.." I murmured.
"So it's you?" She was shocked at first when she saw me then gave me a sarcastic smile.
"So was you?"
