PHASE 20 - THE BEST LUCKY CHARM IN THE WORLD

It was a peaceful Sunday morning at the Kozukata Shrine. The chirping birds together with the gentle breeze of the wind make it a soothing symphony to my ears. It really feels good to be with nature in a peaceful mountain temple.

I was tasked to do the ceremonial miko dance this evening, so I decided to stay here just for this day. Right now, my duty is to sweep at the very gate of the shrine in preparation for our opening for the tourists.

“Tiara! This is bad!” Asumi-nee’s childlike shout removed the peaceful vibes of the place. “This is bad!”

“A-Asumi-nee?”

Asumi-nee revealed two talisman cards from her sleeves. Both of it contains ancient Japanese texts which are used for our traditional fate readings. One of the talismans says “Death” and the other says “Love”.

“This is the result of your romantic fate readings!” Asumi-nee exclaimed.

“E-Eh!? But Asumi-nee, two ending cards in a reading is impossible!”

“In your case, it’s possible.” Asumi-nee said in a worried face. “Now that you have Jeannette’s soul with you, your destiny has been stirred and jumbled, like a chaotic mix of beef patties in a yogurt milk tea. Answer me… Have you confessed your love to Alaric yet?”

“N...Not yet…” I bowed in embarrassment. “Every time I had a chance to confess, I’ll get interrupted.”

“Aha!” Asumi-nee pumped her fist. “That’s fate interrupting your confession! Our universe still believes that Tiara Hikari is still not meant to be together with Alaric Eisenhower, but a part of your predetermined destiny still knots the red string of fate in your hearts! You are meant to be but not meant to be…”

“I don't get it..." I cried.

“I think there is still one remedy…” Asumi-nee ignored my comment as he succumbed to deep thought.

“...O-One?”

“Yes. Alaric has prevented some <Presages> due to his extreme willpower. I think the same will go for you, my cute Tiara.” Asumi-nee caressed my chin.

I am the owner of my fate, and fate will never own me. Rikkun’s words echoed through my head. He has saved a lot of people just by willing his wish into existence. He keeps on defying fate even if the odds are not in his favor.

“In short…” Asumi-nee continued. “You should tie him up so and prevent his escape, then take the chance to rape him! In that way, he’ll be forced to take responsibility!”

“There’s no way I could do that!!!” I cried.

It’s not the time to think about confession and stuff. We need to get back in business in order to save the universe from the awakening of the Frozen Soul. We still have to collect a lot of God Cores.

Maybe I’ll just wait for Valentine’s to convey my feelings to him.

I have to focus on other matters as of this moment. Because tomorrow morning is the opening of the Gate Guardians Tournament.

Hundreds of Gate Guardians assembled in the Black Cross Mansion Hall. From the looks of it, these Gate Guardians have undergone harsh training and they all looked beefed up and ready.

Standing in front of us is a stage meant for us participants focus our attention to. There was this orange-haired rockstar-looking man with several piercings attached on his ear who appears to be holding the mic. Beside him is the Legionmaster Sister Amanda Cryst.
