Tony steals a pufferfish (Percy Jackson and the Avengers)

We fake our deaths and do some water magixxsssss

Percy PoV

"Who's Annabeth?" The blonde dude (who Percy now identified as captain America) asked.

"Annabeth" Percy started "is my girl-"
He never got to finish his sentence because at that moment an alarm pierced through the air, followed by an explosion, and the six other people from before rushed into the room.
"Steve, an unknown object has broken into the building, cameras are all offline and we have green fire burning a hole through the building"the woman said.

The more time Percy spent there, the more he realised he probably should have looked into where he was going , before he broke into a tower full of superhero's.
Just at that moment a very familiar face entered the room.

I'm so dead.

All Activity in the room came to a standstill as Annabeth strode confidently into the room, looking like she totally hadn't blown a hole in the tower using Greek fire. Totally. She just silently made her way over to Where Percy was still tied to a chair. The seven strangers watched carefully, unsure what to do.
"Percy"
She said it like a statement.
Her eyes held a whole tornado of emotions.
Anger,rage and irritation but they also had worry,sadness and love. Yeah she was going to murder him.
In one fluid motion, she swung the tied up Percy over her shoulder, and swiftly made her way over to the door. That was when the so called 'superhero's' reacted.

All at once they made a dash for Annabeth. But Annabeth being Annabeth had already made a plan.
Of course she had. A daughter of Athena always has a plan.

She quickly picked the lock closed (can you do that?) and broke the door handle, essentially locking them in.

She quickly sprinted down the corridor, dodging and weaving around corners she had mapped out in her brain. The alarm suddenly stopped and the whole tower went into lock down. They only had a few minutes before they would be trapped. She started running towards the exit.

"Hey Annabeth?" Percy said cautiously.
"Yes"
"Can we pick up Jeremy before we leave? He's in the lab or whatever"
"Really Percy? We have around about two minutes to get out of here and you want to pick up a fish?"
"It's actually a puffer fish"
Annabeth didn't answer, but she did take a few turns towards the lab.
She kicked down the door (because she's still holding a tied up Percy) and scanned the room for a fish. She spotted it and tucked it under her arm.

They got out the lab and started running up stairs. When she reached the roof, she noticed the distinct lack of footsteps.
Perfect
Annabeth whistled and a black speck started descending from the sky.

Suddenly, 7 sets of footsteps sounded up the stairs. Blackjack wouldn't make it in time. A plan started blossoming in her brain. A way to escape.
"Percy.... get ready free fall"
Percy nodded.
(Sorry I suck at fight scenes)
The first up the stairs was the black widow. She wasted no time and threw a few punches, all of which Annabeth blocked and countered with her own. The fight ended when Annabeth swept her legs under her feet, causing her to fall against the concrete. Hard. She was knocked out.

Already faces were appearing at the far end of the roof. It was now or never. Annabeth looked over the edge, looking at the river below.

"Percy, you ready"
"I was born ready."

With that she put one foot over the edge and started to free fall. Well she started to fall, but a hand reached out and grabbed her by the wrist.

The person who "saved" her was a certain blond haired guy.

Captain America.

"You don't have to do this. You have your whole life ahead of you. Don't throw that away"
Percy forgot this must look like him and Annabeth were committing suicide. They sent each other an amused look.
"We're not mad at you for breaking into the tower" he continued "We're not going to call the police just....please don't do this... a drop from this high will kill you"

He looked genuinely concerned. I mean it did look like they were about to die soooo.......

"Sorry" Annabeth said " you can't save everyone" with that she wiggled out of his grip and Percy managed to get a hand free and flipped him off on the way down.

Only one problem, that made the captain lose his balance, and he started falling off the building. He literally watched his life flash before his eyes.
Without thinking Percy did something that set off a whole train of events that caused the author to have a plot (*looks at smashed forth wall.* "whoops")

Percy reached his hand out and a tiny stream out water shot out and hit the captain with such force that he rocketed back to the roof.

The captain scrambled to see over the edge, but saw nothing but a small splash below.
