The next day Dave couldn't wait to get to Dalton, his father by his side. It was the first time in weeks that he truly excited about anything (Well the first thing he was truly excited was when he gear up as a gorilla and declare his feelings to Kurt). When they arrive the two walked into the main office and a few minutes later they were in the Dean's office.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Howard," Paul said, shaking the Dean's hand.
"Please call me Uriel" He then turned his attention to Dave. "And you must be David"
"Yes, sir," Dave said politely. He then took a moment to look around the room, suddenly remembering what Blaine and Kurt had said to him yesterday. "You have a really nice owl collection Dean Howard," He said, looking around the room.
To say that Dean Howard was a crazy old owl man was an understatement. His office was littered with owl memorabilia. The wall behind the desk had a large painting of a barn owl flying. Beside the painting was a clock shaped like an owl. There was even an actual owl hooting in a corner from his cage.
The Dean's eyes seemed to light up at the mention of his owl collection. "Really now, you enjoy my collection?"
"Oh yeah, I love owls. They're such amazing creatures." Dave lied. Paul gave a confused look.
"Anyway," The Dean said, trying to get back on the subject. "I went over David's paperwork and there are a few papers that need to be signed. I'm also aware of David wanting to try out for the football team so I spoke with the coach and he thought it would be an awesome idea for him to get to watch the team's practice today."
"That's a great idea. Don't you think, David?"
"Yeah, of course"
Dean Howard smiled. "Great" There was a knock on the door for a moment before Blaine walked in.
"You wanted to see me, sir?" He said.
"Yes, Blaine, this is David Karofsky," The Dean said before turning his attention to Dave. "David, this is Blaine Devon Anderson, he is one of the talented Warblers" His attention was then turned back to Blaine. "I was hoping that you could show David to the football field?"
Blaine smirked. "Of course, Dean Howard and by the way, I am loving the new owl painting."
The Dean smiled brightly. "Why thank you, Blaine! Now, you two hurry along" He said, practically shooting the two away.
The two didn't speak until they were out of the office. "He's.." Dave began.
"Crazy," Blaine suggested.
"Yeah"
Blaine laughed. "Yeah, but, as I said, you tell him you like his creepy owl stuff and you get perks here."
"So any idea where is Kurt? Please don't tell any of the Warblers but I feel attracted to him." Dave said. Blaine just looked at him without saying anything. "What!!!" Dave asked, confused.
"Sorry, I just pictured you two together. He...well, let's say he is at The Lima Bean"
The two continued to talk, mostly about football, for a few minutes until the two were at the football field. Dave looked around at the other boys, noticing that he recognized a few from the Warblers.
"Hey, Blainey!" Skylar said, smiling before seeing Dave. "David," He said, frowning.
"Skylar" Dave said, nodding.
"Oh! I almost forgot, the coach wanted to see you" Blaine said to Dave. "See you later Skylar"
"Yeah," Skylar said, going back over to the group of football players.
