Yn's POV

"Sarge, think I narrowed down the location. So Ruby said that she jumped out the car at Kinzie and Dearborn. Told Olinsky that they drove around for about ten minutes. That would put her approximate location in this six-mile radius" Kevin said and circled an area on the map we had put up. "Ruby also said that she heard kids and sirens, which means we're looking for someplace near a school or playground. There's a bunch of them in that area" I say.

"Has anyone read Ruby's rap sheet? In the last year alone she's been picked up for credit card fraud, retail theft, possession of heroin" Adam said. "Where'd she say she was grabbed from" Jay asked. "Pin Pan Alley" Erin replied. "Pool hall on Ashland? That's a hangout for runaways. Lots of teen prostitution" Jay said. "So she's got a history, like everybody else." "All right, where we at with the composite" Voight asked. "It just came in" Mouse said. "All right, so circulate it to all hospitals, urgent care centers. See if anyone matching this description came in with a stab wound. Antonio, you and Jay hit that pool hall."

Adam and I then headed out to see if we could find where the kidnapper lived. We actually got lucky ad found a mail man in the neighborhood that Ruby was kidnapped from. "Is this your normal route" I ask. "You lose your mail or something" he responded. Adam and I held up our badges. "We're actually looking for a guy who lives around here" I say. "This guy look familiar? He drives a silver Audi" Adam said and showed him a sketch. "Yeah, you know, yeah, yeah, yeah. 5381 Bristol. Next block over" the mail man said. "You wouldn't happen to know his name would you" I ask. "No, there's been a mail hold on that address. I never delivered a letter to the house, but I seen him come and go." "All right, thank you" Adam said.

We headed over to the house and knocked, but no one was home. "Whose turn is it to bust the door down" I ask. "And if we can't remember, then we're playing rock, paper, scissors." "Hold on" Adam said and bent down to the pad lock on the door. He typed in 5381, which was the address of the house, and the lock opened to reveal the key to the house. "My aunt's a realtor. They all do it" Adam said. I checked downstairs while Adam headed upstairs. Both floors were clear. Then, we found a door at the back of the house which recently had locks on it. And inside doors did not require that much security.

Adam headed down into the basement first with me following close behind. The first area was clear. Towards the back half, we spotted a room and stepped inside. "You smell that" Adam asked. I nodded."Bleach. He wiped the place clean." I then spotted a metal chain slot against the back wall. "Ruby said he had her chained up to a wall" Adam said just as my phone beeped. "Mouse says that the house belongs to Bill and Ruth Gainsbridge. They moved to Florida three months ago" I say. "No sign of forced entry, so somebody must've had the key. We'll get Mouse to get a hold of the real estate company, get us a picture of the listing agent" Adam said.

"Drew Stommer, real estate agent at Cermak Reality. Business degree at Northwestern, minor is psychology. Never married, no kids, no priors" Antonio said. "This guy looks like the world's most eligible bachelor" Adam said. "That's what they said about Ted Bundy" Voight replied. "We got the results of Ruby's ultrasound back. She is seven weeks pregnant, which means it's Stommer's" Erin said. "I called the owners of the house on Bristol. They told Stommer to put it on the market six months ago He didn't list it on MLS till last week, which means he's been sitting on the house" Jay said.

"Yeah, to hide Ruby. And he had to move her because the house was about to sell" I say. "Stommer, I just ran him through the DMV. He's the registered owner of a silver 2004 Audi A4. His office says that he's hosting an open house at a property in Hyde Park" Mouse said. "All right, Antonio, you and Lindsay go pick this guy up" Voight said. "No, I'll pick him up" Al said. "Okay, you and Atwater. Jay, get a warrant for his house. I want you to search it top to bottom" Voight said.

When both teams got back, we found out that Drew had a "wife." "She says her name is Madison, and not only is her marriage to Stommer not official, she doesn't exist as a person" Kevin said. "Secretary of State's got no record of a Madison Stommer so I ran the maiden name she provided, Madison Dodd. The social matches a woman in Mt. Vernon, but the DOBs don't match" Mouse said. "You check Cook County" Voight asked. "I ran all cross checks. She doesn't have so much as a library card to her name." "I ran Madison's prints. Her real name is Jamie Lynn Stevens. Says she went missing seven years ago" Adam said and handed Voight a flyer.

"Madison is actually Jamie Lynn Stevens. She was arrested in 2008 on solicitation charges, and then she went missing in 2009" Jay said. "Who filed the missing persons report" I ask. "Her mom. Then a year later she overdosed and the case ran cold." "Hey, boss, we've been going through Stommer's call logs. His clients, wife, all check out except for one short phone call made three weeks ago at 2:32 a.m. on March 7 to a residence in Naperville owned by a woman named Marcia Harris" Adam said. "Yeah, call outgoing from his cell phone. Call lasted two minutes" Mouse said. "Marcia has no connection with Stommer. What she does have is an 18-year-old daughter who was popped for solicitation in the exact same place where Ruby was kidnapped" Adam said. So Adam and Antonio went out to find the owner of the phone call, and came back with another potential victim of Stommer.

"Jennifer Harris. 19 years old. History of drug problems. Fits Stommer's MO. Mother couldn't give us much. Jennifer's been out of the house a year, no fixed address" Antonio said. "She got herself together enough to get on public assistance, has a Link card that's active and purchased $13 worth of groceries on March 6" I say. "Damn, March 6th? Day before she called her mom" Kevin said. "Yeah, nothing after that." "All right, get a warrant for this real estate office. We're gonna hit every property Stommer represents. This girl could be out there locked up, starving, we don't know what" Voight said. "I want to try something else" Erin said.

So Voight and the rest of the team except for Adam and I went to get more information from Jamie (Madison). They then sent Adam and I an address where Jennifer might be and we met them there. "The construction guys said the real estate agent hired them to lay floor in the basement" Adam said to Voight. "Alright. Keep them here" he said before heading inside with Antonio and Kevin. Jay and Al were already inside.

That night, the case was solved. And we were free to go home. "Anyone up for drinks at Molly's" Jay asked. "How are you even functioning after this case? I need sleep. That means Adam, you'll be driving us home" I say. "What? No fair. I think it's your turn" Adam said. "Fine. Rock, paper, scissors. Loser has to drive." "Deal" Adam said. "Rock, paper, scissors." I held out paper while Adam had rock. "Yes" I say. "I won." "You guys are so immature" Jay said. "Well guess what, it's the only game that's fair and doesn't take long" Adam said as I tossed him the keys. "Alright. Goodnight everyone" I say. "Goodnight" Erin and Jay replied.
