Krestena's POV

I woke up to Harry and Hermione yelling at someone. Looking around I see I'm in the hospital wing and my left arm is in a sling. "We're not confunded!" Harry shouts as I get out of bed and walk out from behind the curtain. To see Snape and the minister of magic. Madame Pomfrey tells them to leave as we're distressed.

"We are not, where's my father? What did you do Snape?" I ask glaring at him. Just then Dumbledore enters the room and I sigh in relief. He'd set things right.

"My apologies, Poppy, but I need a word with Mr. Potter, Miss Black, and Miss Granger. I have just been talking to Sirius Black" Dumbledore tells her.

"Is dad ok?" I ask him worried.

"He is fine Miss Black" he assures me and I sit down.

"I suppose he's told you the same fairy tale he's planted in Potter's mind? Something about a rat, and Pettigrew being alive" Snape says.

"It's no fairy tale" I grumble annoyed.

"That, indeed, is Black's story" Dumbledore tells him.

"And does my evidence count for nothing? Peter Pettigrew was not in the Shrieking Shack, nor did I see any sign of him on the grounds" Snape states.

"That's because you were knocked out" I tell him smugly.

"You arrived to late to hear" Hermione adds.

"Black!Miss Granger, HOLD YOUR TONGUE!" Snape screams at us.

"Now, Snape, these young ladies is disturbed in her mind, we must make allowances" the minister tells him and I roll my eyes at that.

"I would like to speak to Harry, Hermione and Krestena alone. Cornelius, Severus, Poppy — please leave us" Dumbledore tells them.

"Headmaster! They need treatment, they need rest" Madame Pomfrey tries to say.

"This cannot wait, I must insist" Dumbledore tells her. So she goes to her office, Fudge and Snape leave shutting the door behind them.

"Professor, Black's telling the truth — we saw Pettigrew — he escaped when Uncle Remus turned into a werewolf" Harry, Hermione and I tell him.

"It is your turn to listen, and I beg you will not interrupt me, because there is very little time" Dumbledore tells us quietly. "There is not a shred of proof to support Black's story, except your word — and the word of two thirteen-year-old wizards will not convince anybody. A street full of eyewitnesses swore they saw Sirius murder Pettigrew. I myself gave evidence to the Ministry that Sirius had been the Potters' Secret-Keeper" he explains.

"But Professor Lupin can tell you..." Harry starts to say.

"Professor Lupin is currently deep in the forest, unable to tell anyone anything. By the time he is human again, it will be too late, Sirius will be worse than dead. I might add that werewolves are so mistrusted by most of our kind that his support will count for very little and the fact that he and Sirius are old friends" Dumbledore tells us.

"But..." I say.

"Listen to me, Krestena. It is too late, you understand me? You must see that Professor Snape's version of events is far more convincing than yours" he states.

"But he hates my dad" I whine.

"All because of some stupid trick Sirius played on him" Hermione adds.

"Sirius has not acted like an innocent man. The attack on the Fat Lady — entering Gryffindor Tower with a knife — without Pettigrew, alive or dead, we have no chance of overturning Sirius's sentence" he tells us.
