(ECHO and MADISON are relaxing in his room. ECHO'S master is reading a book in the corner. TANIKA stumbles in, beaten and bruised. She collapses on the ground. ECHO and MADISON rush over.)
ECHO
Oh my god, oh my god, Tanika!!!
MADISON
This was such a bad idea, oh my god. Are you okay?
ECHO
What do you mean? Of course she's not okay!
(ECHO'S master comes forward and picks her up, bringing her to ECHO'S bed and laying her down. TANIKA flinches at his touch and struggles a bit, but is too weak to fight back. ECHO and MADISON follow him to ECHO'S bed.)
ECHO (Signed)
Will she be okay?
ECHO'S MASTER (Signed)
Yes. Give her time.
ECHO
What happened?
MADISON
You idiot, have you never been punished before?
ECHO
No.
(MADISON sighs and looks over TANIKA.)
MADISON
She was definitely beaten and raped, and probably cut. Oh god, this is really bad. Hayden went insane on her.
ECHO
Oh gosh, will she be able to dance?
MADISON
Is that all you care about?
ECHO
Getting her out of here alive? Yeah. That's all I care about.
ECHO'S MASTER (Signed)
Get up, Tanika. You need to be able to dance.
ECHO
Tanika, he says you gotta get up. You gotta be able to dance.
(TANIKA slowly gets up and winces in pain, but slowly walks around.)
ECHO'S MASTER (Signed)
Return to your bedroom. Training will start soon.
ECHO
He said to go to your room, because training's gonna start soon.
TANIKA
Thank you.
(TANIKA exits. Blackout.)
