3,500 years before the battle of Yavin
The empire and the sith are all but destroyed in the eyes of the republic and the Jedi order are happy to believe that no force user will ever learn of the sith again.
In a remote area of unknown space the emperor has taken refuge on a planet that has no name and only one city. After the great sith war the emperor at the time fled with a hand full of loyal commanders and staff to find a new word to settle and rebuild.
There had been rumours the emperor that led the exploration was not the original one from the war but was the one that kindled the life of the sith. A thousand years has passed since and so have many emperors.
A small group of idealists find themselves on opposing fronts with the empire and have splintered away into a military force hiding in an ancient bunker.
Many troops followed them loyally into the exile taking with them small crafts and carriers they had be deployed on.
War has dragged out for near a decade and the idealists are on a loosing front finding their front lines pushed further back.
