seesaw ghosts

HE USED TO play in the park when he was five. five years old was when he stopped believing in glow in the dark stickers and instead believed in ghosts.

there are different types of ghosts, five year old taeyong would say. ghosts that rise from the ground and ghosts that still live and the ghosts in your head (broken memories, that is).

the seesaw was a ghost. it still is.

it sits on the molding mulch in the park, located a few minutes away from the building if you walk straight, left twice and right once. it lets out a quiet squeak when the wind blows and goes eerily still when the night came. his mother told him they had found a body of a middle-aged man a few years back. and no children decorate the streets anymore. that had been the only park in town.

when night fell, sometimes, taeyong would leave the apartment, go to the park and stare at it.

he too is a ghost.
