-Chelsea-

I push the stop button on my treadmill, slowing to a walking pace before the machine comes to a stop. Monica and Anne do the same, both reaching for their water bottles.

"So remember that mini vacation Derek and I were going to take?" Monica asks

"Umm, no. Actually I don't" I furrowed my brow "When did you plan this?"

"Around valentines day" She revealed "We finally booked our tickets a couple weeks ago. We can't use them now though"

"Well that stinks" Anne took her pony tail out, letting her crazy mane of curls lay on her back "Can you get your money back?"

"No" Monica shook her head "They said we could change our flight to somewhere else that would be the same amount of money, but that's it"

"Where did you guys plan on going?" I picked up my gym bag, swinging it over my shoulder

"The Caribbean" She said quietly

"The Caribbean?!" Anne and I both said in unison, our mouths dropping

"That is not a mini vacation. The Caribbean is anything but a mini vacation. Why didn't you tell us about this?" Anne asks, playfully hitting monica in the arm

"I thought I did" she shrugged "Not like it matters now though. And we are out a huge chunk of money"

"Just go somewhere else" I suggest, pushing open the gym doors and walking towards the dorms

"They are combined tickets. Where one goes, the other one has to follow" She informed us "I'm not going across country with him" her face made it clear she was serious

We climbed the stairs up to Monica's room, grabbing snacks, and then going back to my room to watch as many movies that contain Ryan Gosling as possible.

"So have you told Louis you love him back yet?" Anne asks

"No" I sigh "I want the moment to be perfectly romantic"

Monica took a sip of her sweet tea before making a comment "Don't do that."

I stared at her, Anne and I both waiting for her to explain

"If you wait for that, you will be waiting forever. Nothing is perfectly romantic. What you say is what makes it romantic."

I pondered her  comment

"I guess you're right" I shrugged

The three of us sat down at the foot of my bed, shoving a variety of snacks down our throats as we watched Ryan prance across the screen

-Louis-

"I'm not taking your tickets" I tell Derek for the fifth time

"C'mon Louis. Take Chelsea somewhere special. I can't get my money back, and I don't want to let these just go to waste"

"Wait" I say, rethinking his offer "If I took those tickets, I could take Chelsea to Doncastor to meet my family" I put my finger in the air "This may not be a bad idea"

"Of course not. That sounds like a good Idea Lou"

"You know-" I begin, but then stop myself short, realizing I may not want to speak my feelings at this moment

"You know what?" Derek asks

"Never mind" I waved him off with my hand

"You started that sentence, you have to finish it" Derek gave me a look, letting me know there was no way he was going to let me go on this one
