cold shadows follow my steps,

I keep walking, ignoring their loud footsteps.

I fake a smile they try to take everyday.

the smile you caused me was always real.

when I'm with you the shadows go away,

your my one and only, and for you, happiness ill steal.

because lately I cant make you happy despite what I could say.

I pushed you away so I lost my light, the shadows now follow me and everyday is now as black as the night.

I tried to hold onto you and keep you nice and bright.

but because of my self darkness, I dimmed your light.

I hate living in darkness, always feeling blind, but I regret everyday that I threw away my only source of light.
