jack and y/n were relaxing at jack's house. jack was playing a video game and y/n had her head in his lap, as she re-read one of her favourite books. "oh my gosh, jacky!" she exclaimed, sitting up quickly as a thought occurred to her suddenly. "i just realized something!"

"what is it?" her boyfriend asked absentmindedly, all of his attention on his game.

"i never asked you out!"

"that's fine," jack said, pausing his game.

"no!" y/n shouted, and jack winced. "will you go out with me?"

"what if i wanted to ask you out?" he pointed out.

"no, i wanted to ask."

jack looked confused. "so, you'll say no if i ask you out?"

"of course not!" his girlfriend protested. "i just wanted to be the one to ask."

"what if i say no?"

"um, you wouldn't,"y/n said.

"maybe i would. you never know," jack grinned.

"i already asked, please just answer!" y/n begged.

"no."

y/n hesitated, and tried again. "no, you won't answer, or no, you won't go out with me?"

"neither. will you go out with me?" jack smirked.

y/n rolled her eyes. "fuck you and fuck yes."
