grace's pov

today's sunday. zach and i's parents are back. we have to tell them.

"hey dad, can we go over to zach's house?"

"why?" he asks curiously.

"something important,"

"i mean, sure," i already knew zach's parents said we could come over, considering he texted me that. once we gather the family, me and zach stand together at the counter.

"okay guys so we have something to tell you," i say as i face my dad, myta, and josh.

"what is it? should i be worried?" myta asks.

"no. we just wanted to say that we're dating," zach answers.

"so you should be worried," josh says looking at myta. i laugh.

"congrats you two," josh and myta say. what about my dad?

"i'm very happy for you," my dad responds. he obviously wasn't very ecstatic, but i'll take it.

it's now monday morning and i'm dreading school. zach and i meet at my locker and he walks me to my first class, holding my hand. is he joking right now?

"zach," i try to pull my hand away.

"yes grace?" he knows what he's doing.

"why?" i ask looking down at our hands.

"this is what couples do, okay, bye now," he quickly gives me a kiss on the cheek then leaves. i go sit down next to emma and fill her in on everything.

"oh. my. gosh!" is all that emma has to say.

when it's time for lunch, zach texts me and told me to meet him by the pick up line. easy enough. i see him standing there with 4 other guys.

"i'm corbyn!" a blonde waves.

"daniel," toothgap, hm that's adorable.

"i'm jonah," he's too good looking to be real.

"and i'm jack," a kid with curly hair says.

"well i'm grace," i wave back at them.

"okay let's go sit," zach leads us to a table.

"so gracearoo, tell me a little bit about yourself. where do you see yourself in 5 years, and why did you not dress appropriately for this interview?" corbyn scolds me. i cant help but burst into laughter.

"well i didn't even want the job," i stick my head high in the air.

"can you believe the attitude of this woman?" corbyn says with his mouth wide open. i like him already.

"hey wanna hear a joke?" i think jack ask.

"absolutely not," i say back, i make sure he knows i'm joking.

"you're so much more fun than jasmine," daniel says.

"it's not hard to do that," i silently laugh at my roast.

"you like politics?" jonah asks.

"very passionately, but not here,"

"good answer," jonah leans back as if shocked. i like zach's friends. they're fun.

"so best friend, are we hangin out today?" corbyn asks me as he puts an arm around my shoulder.

"whatever you want, give me your phone," he handed it over and i put my number in.

"corbyn," zach stares down corbyn.

"uh you're funny zach, did you forget that i'm dating christina?"

"oh yeah," zach looks regretful.

"who?"

"my girlfriend that lives in new york,"

"aw," i love that they're making it work.

"hey, you," i turn around to see jasmine standing there.
