Now on to your regularly scheduled chapter.

We rushed out the door, not bothering to eat breakfast. We ran down the staircase because of Nico's rational fear if elevators and confined spaces. We pushed the doors open and bolted down the street. We made it to Goode before the bells rang. We went our separate ways, Nico to intensive math studies, me to Spanish 2. Senior Gonzales was not there today, so we had a studyhall. I saw a girl from my English class enter and ask the substitute something that took me a minute to decipher.

"¿Sabe si el Sr. González dejó algún papeleo para la excursión?" She asked.

"No lo creo." The sub replied.

"Gracias." She said as she walked out of the room.

(Translation:

"Do you know if Mr. Gonzalez left any paperwork for the field trip?"

"No, I don't know."

"Thank you.")

I stared at her, as did the rest of the class. Her spanish was completely unbroken and yet she was a sophomore like the rest of us. What the heck?

AN:

I am learning Spanish, but I did use google translate for the conversation above, so if I somehow messed it up I apologize.
