"Matt come on! Hurry!" Carter yells
"I'm trying!" Matt replies breathing heavy
Matt stands up and runs for his life to the trashcan next to Carter
BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG
A bullet . . . . . .flies right by Matt's face, a centimeter from his cheek as he makes that final leap to the trashcan.
"Woah that was literally to close Matt." Carter exclaims
"I know man."
BANG BANG BANG
Carter lifts his head at eye level, he aims his gun at one of the criminals, looks through the scope, and
BANG
Reload.
Matt puts his back against the trashcan, looking over his shoulder. He grabs his gun and aims.
BANG.
Reload.
This continues with the two of them.
BANG
...
BANG
...
BANG
BANG
BANG
All of the guys are down. Carter and Matt slowly rise and smirk.
"I- I can't believe we just did that." Matt says in disbelief
"I know, I didn't think we would- "Carter freezes
He drops to the ground, revealing one of the surviving criminals that just stabbed Carter in the back.
Matt's mouth drops to an "O". He takes a glance and the impaled Carter then focuses his attention back on the criminal. He pulls his gun out.
"Ha a knife against a gun. Fair fight." The criminal chuckles sarcastically
Matt tilts his head and shrugs his shoulders in an "Alright then" way. He drops his gun on the floor and immediately kicks the knife out of the criminals hand making him stumble backwards. Matt punches him with an incredible force in anger. He looks back at Carter who is luckily still breathing. This makes him angrier. He grabs the knife from the street, walks back over to the criminal almost unconscious on the floor. He stabs the criminal in his heart.
He quickly drops the knife and runs to Carter, he kneels at his side.
"Carter?" Matt exclaims his eyes beginning to water
"Matt- I - Know - you- can su- su- survive- I-"
Carter dies in the middle of his last sentence.
"Carter?! CARTER?! Nohoho- I - can't -believe- this happened!" Matt sobs sniffling between his words.
He turns to the now dead criminal that stabbed him.
"IT'S YOUR- FAULT- IT'S- ALL- YOUR FAULT!" Matt yells in anger and frustation still sobbing
He sobs back into Carter's cold, bloody, chest.
