Unique
We've become so good at hiding
Hiding our emotions,
Hiding our feelings,
Hiding from the world.
Suppressing our emotions,
Until we no longer feel.
We become numb to everything around us.
We forget how to express ourselves,
Because we are programmed to say we are good when asked, "how are you?"
Nobody really cares if you're sad, frustrated, or angry.
You could be breaking on the inside,
On the verge of tears,
And wanting to scream at the top of your lungs.
But will anyone care or notice?
No.
We are so close to acting like robots,
We are losing our humanity.
We shouldn't feel bothersome to someone when we are sharing our feelings.
We should wear our emotions proudly.
They make us unique.
